THE REFLECTION GAME

THE REFLECTION GAME

Theo sat beside Anna, flipping through an old book about the manor’s history. “This place has a reputation,” Theo said, his voice low. “They say it’s haunted.” “Of course it is,” Mia muttered, her arms crossed. “Why wouldn’t it be?” When they arrived, the sight of the old house sent a chill through the group. The towering structure was made of dark stone, its windows tall and narrow, like watchful eyes. Ivy crawled up the walls, and the surrounding woods seemed to press in on it, as though the forest itself were trying to reclaim the space.

The Wedding Night Curse

The Wedding Night Curse

She’d snuck into the forbidden library with a boy who didn’t speak much, who had bruises on his back and fire in his eyes. Ethan. And together, they’d read books that even the patriarchs feared to open. One of those books spoke of “The Heart of the House.” It remembers every blood that’s been spilled in its name. But none of the books said it was real. She thought it was symbolic. A metaphor for the darkness rooted in this land. Now she stood before it. And it was awake. Ethan’s face in the blood began to blur. At the same moment, the manor groaned. Not an earthquake—but something deeper. Like a beast shifting underground.

The King's faceless wife.

The King's faceless wife.

But the book is filled with shadowy creatures and monsters that feed on humans and animals alike. Letting out another loud sigh, I reached for the book and pulled it out. Even though I had wanted to drop this book and find another one that would be more accurate, I wasn't able to find another book back at home. Maybe there might be some in this castle? With the book in my hands, I walked over to the bed and sat at the edge. Placing my hand flat against the hard cover of the book, I traced it from top to bottom, wondering if I should continue reading or just stop filling my head with scary stories.

Wonderful story with very engaging characters. Overall this needs good editing, spell checks, etc. but the story and character developments flowed well that my internal translator was automatically engaged.

Claimed by My Bully Alpha

Claimed by My Bully Alpha

“What did Harmona do there?” She hesitated, biting her lip, before finally speaking. "It's... it's an eerie house. People say you can hear screams at night, and they say it's haunted," she said in a low voice, almost like she didn't want to believe her own words. "Everyone avoids it, because it’s scary…filled with dark magic." I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up at the thought. Haunted? Screams in the night? What the hell was going on out there?

THE ALPHA'S ICE MATE

THE ALPHA'S ICE MATE

I murmured, gathering my things. At Row D, I ran my fingers across worn spines: Lycanthropy and Legends, Moon-bound, The Silver Curse. My pulse quickened as I pulled a heavy volume free. I whispered to myself, “Could I really…?” “Could you really what?” a voice came from behind me. I spun to see Fiona standing there, arms folded, a curious smile on her face. “Fiona! You scared me.” “Sorry.” She peered at the book in my hand. “Werewolves? That’s… unexpected. Planning a Halloween prank?”

“Um, yeah, that’s the genre I’m most known for. Why?” “I know you’ve written about vampires, zombies, demons, serial killers, and even a Sasquatch, but no books about haunted houses, correct?” “No novels,” Brad said, his stomach churning with acid as he detected the point of this line of questioning, “but in my collection I have a story about a haunted treehouse.” Ramon grunted. “I bet if you released a haunted house novel, it’d be a big hit. Especially now that you actually live in a haunted house, don’t you think?”

Taming a Psychopath

Taming a Psychopath

Warning: This chapter contains scenes that might be upsetting for some readers. Read at your own risk. It's eight p.m. Everything is dark, the moon is at its peak, and there are no signs of humans in the streets. Near the streets, there's a small, rugged creepy house. It's far from town, so people don't usually notice this house. It is surrounded by enormous pine trees, grassy lands, and black ravens. Some people believe that ghosts live in that house because the people who tried to enter that house died.

The Rise, The last Queen

The Rise, The last Queen

Hana has a right to all floors except the 5th floor. Hana walked around the 1st floor but still couldn't find the book she needed. She went up to the 2nd floor, glided through the 3rd floor, and then stopped at the 4th floor. Hana noticed the two books at the end of the range; it seemed like they were old books that had been abandoned for quite some time. The first book is titled 15 types of magic and relationships. The second book is called the art of combining magic. Hana grabbed two books and sat avidly reading. It wasn't until the librarian announced the closure and kicked Hana out that darkness enveloped Scott Hall. Hana remembered her morning date with Claura and hurriedly climbed onto

Mate to The Dragon

Mate to The Dragon

“Of course, the book and all of my other things are at my house.” I nod to my guards and motion for Mykael to come with us. We follow the woman out of my house and into the forest. We walk for nearly half an hour before finally coming up to a small cabin. It is in the middle of a part of the forest that children call the Haunted Forest. They believe there are ghosts and monsters hiding in the trees. Even I used to believe the ridiculous scary stories.

 A Witch's Nightmare - Dream Trilogy Book 1

A Witch's Nightmare - Dream Trilogy Book 1

After the boys had left my room, I went through my bag and pulled out my favorite book, Night Flame, by Catherine Hart. I sat back in my chair by the window, prepared to spend the rest of the afternoon reading when a shiver ran down my spine. I jumped out of my seat and spun around to see a pair of yellow eyes glowing in the corner of the room. As those eyes drew closer to me, I realized that it was Simon, the fae that came to warn me the other day.
