Alpha’s Illicit Affairs With My Step Sister

Alpha’s Illicit Affairs With My Step Sister

The bookstore, once a haven of tranquility, had become the epicenter of a chilling mystery, and I was now on a relentless quest for answers. * I sat alone at the bar of the bookstore, the dim light casting long shadows on the shelves of books. I reached for my phone and dialed Clive’s number, needing a ride home. He reassured me that he was on his way. As I waited on the stool, a sudden vision washed over me. I found myself submerged in water, a relentless force pulling me deeper. Panic set in as I struggled against the mysterious figure determined to drown me. I strained to see the person’s face, only catching glimpses of dark hair and striking green doe eyes. Despite the fear, an inexplica

ENTRAPPED BY THE DEVIL

ENTRAPPED BY THE DEVIL

I closed my eyes and pushed the door in, opening them only after I was inside and the door crashed quietly behind me. I drew in a much-needed breath, trying to calm down the havoc my frantic heartbeat was causing inside. The way I was sweating and how badly my legs were shaking. The view inside was just as gloomy and foreboding as one of the dungeons in the basement of the Perazzo mansion in Venice. It didn’t smell that horrible, sure, but the terror churning in my heart was just the same. I was shaking so badly with every step into the room that I could barely focus on anything but the enormous desk in the middle of the room and the chair with its back turned to me. Even in my terrified sta

Aretha Hawthorne: The Rise Of The Phoenix

Aretha Hawthorne: The Rise Of The Phoenix

“Too stunned to ask the right questions, I gawked at the private jet, the staff, the food, the feeling of being in the air for the first time. All the things that caught my eye distracted me from the most important threat at the time; my Grandmother.” “Nazeli whisked me into another waiting car when we landed, letting me sleep until we arrived at a rundown house; the roof was gone, it was barely standing. One nod to the driver, Nazeli grabbed my arm, forcefully this time, pulling me deeper into this new hell. For a moment, I thought she was going to kill me. Now that I think about it, she should have.” The suspense of this story has me leaning forward, my desire and bodily needs forgotten. I

Independence Is a Good Look On Her

Independence Is a Good Look On Her

He had been busy arranging the publication process since the two of them met in Elgerson to discuss matters. First was the early promotion stage. After 12 years of silence, the mystery novelist, Mindy Harrison returned with a new suspense thriller following her hit novels, "Murder Weapon" and "The Deserted School". The selling point was there, but… the response wasn't great. Firstly, Mindy had been disconnected from the thriller novel industry for many years. While her reputation remained, her previous glory had faded after a new generation of writers cropped up. Most readers didn't care much for her anymore.

This is a good book. I enjoyed reading it. It’s been a week now with no new chapters. At least end the book with an ending instead of just left it hanging. It’s getting more interesting & I know the readers would like to continue reading it. You know the feeling without closure, no satisfaction.......

Silent Killer: A Dark Female Spy Romance

Silent Killer: A Dark Female Spy Romance

The woman I had been, the one sent here to end him, to cleanse the world of his darkness, she died the moment I lowered the gun. My fingers were trembling, slick with sweat, the barrel still pointed at Viktor. But my resolve crumbled, piece by piece, until it was dust in the wind. The silence in the room was deafening. Viktor stood perfectly still, watching me with those impossibly dark eyes, unblinking, unwavering. He didn’t flinch, didn’t plead. He just waited, like he already knew the decision I was too afraid to admit I had made. Pull the trigger.

When the house fell silent

My Sister's Keeper

My Sister's Keeper

I doubted that I could have done it. I lay in Sydney’s arms staring at that green glow on the ceiling until I began to wonder about the glow itself and realized it was coming from a tiny light on Martha’s laptop computer. I pressed the switch on the arm of her bed and raised the head high enough for me to read without awakening Sydney. Lifting the lid on the laptop, I found that it was on and that Martha had been working last on her novel. There were now one hundred seventy-three pages. I pulled the computer stand closer to me, shifted back to the beginning of the story, and began reading.

The Echoes we Bury

The Echoes we Bury

“What are you, a detective?” “I’m a journalist,” Elliot said evenly. “That explains the cynicism.” Elliot ignored him. He was more focused on the growing knot in his chest. Something about this place—the damp air, the darkened hallways visible beyond the dining room—it felt heavy, suffocating. He couldn’t shake the feeling that coming here was a mistake. That night, the storm rolled in. The wind howled against the walls of Wintercroft Hall, and rain lashed against the windows like an angry drumbeat. Elliot sat in the guest room he’d been assigned, staring at the note Vivienne had given him. The weight of what you didn’t see will destroy you.
