Murderer

Murderer

These actions cannot be explained, Navpreet,’ said the inspector gloomily, casting an eye on the mountains. The sub-inspector gave a stiff nod and carefully studied the inspector who seemed to be lost in contemplation. ‘From what I have seen, murders are of two types,’ said the inspector, the tips of his fingers coming together. ‘First are the unplanned ones, committed by people who were suffocated in some way by the acts of the would-be victims. When they see an opportunity, their fear is eclipsed by the pain they have suffered and they strike.’

Best Friend Tried to Ruin Me, So I Sent Her to Prison

Emily turned her laptop screen toward me. "We just received an anonymous email. It claims you're a novelist, and that you wrote a book where a CEO led an office bullying campaign that drove three women to suicide. The company in your novel uses the same initials as ours. A few years back, that triggered a PR crisis for us and tanked our stock." "The company is taking this very seriously. Is there anything you'd like to explain?" "I never wrote anything like that. I write romance novels. The author of that thriller is the very famous mystery writer J. Nova—it was one of his earlier works, not many people have read it."

I beamed. "Crazy, isn't it?" "Fucking crazy, for real." "First, we put THE DA VINCI CODE by DAN BROWN here." He picked out the book and inserted it in the center line of the shelf. He put HOW TO STOP TIME by MATT HAIG, followed by EVERGREEN by NAOMI HIRAHARA. "Then KISS THE GIRLS by JAMES PATTERSON." He put it next to the first book. "I've read that." I went on in a spur of excitement. "It's a thriller and mystery novel about a detective who's trying to track down a serial killer. So many twists and cliffhangers. Total page-turner." I giggled.

Claimed By Three: The Stalker, The Don and The Killer

“It’s not like my stories are bad. People just don’t… connect with them.” “Right,” Jenni says, rolling her eyes. “Because it’s the readers, not the fact that you’re all over the place. Comedy one day, dragons the next. And now, dark romance? Come on.” I frown, but she doesn’t let up. “You know what you need?” she says, setting her phone down and turning her full attention on me now. “Research. Real, gritty, get-your-hands-dirty research. You’re writing about stalkers, murderers, Mafia bosses, right? You can’t just pull that out of thin air.”

Independence Is a Good Look On Her

Independence Is a Good Look On Her

He had been busy arranging the publication process since the two of them met in Elgerson to discuss matters. First was the early promotion stage. After 12 years of silence, the mystery novelist, Mindy Harrison returned with a new suspense thriller following her hit novels, "Murder Weapon" and "The Deserted School". The selling point was there, but… the response wasn't great. Firstly, Mindy had been disconnected from the thriller novel industry for many years. While her reputation remained, her previous glory had faded after a new generation of writers cropped up. Most readers didn't care much for her anymore.

This is a good book. I enjoyed reading it. It’s been a week now with no new chapters. At least end the book with an ending instead of just left it hanging. It’s getting more interesting & I know the readers would like to continue reading it. You know the feeling without closure, no satisfaction.......

“And I think that's a more interesting world for readers, right? you for sure will not get bored. He looked at me and winked. — It's more fun for the writers, also, because we don't have to get stuck and conform to rigid rules about what should be more appropriate in a novel, in a mystery, detective, fiction story book science, and so on. We start writing what interests and challenges us. Now to Me as a reader, my interest has always been more in mysteries and suspense.” He smiled. - Typical of man, right? Someone needs to be killed, something needs to be blown up. Ah, he had definitely connected with the audience. As he spoke, people People who arrived at the fiction section stopped to list

The Heaven Hill Series

The Heaven Hill Series

She sat with her coffee on one side, the notebook in front of her, a pen in her mouth. If there was one thing she kept hidden from most of the world at large, it was the fact that she loved to write. The fact that she liked to write wasn't what was embarrassing, what was embarrassing was the fact that she wrote erotic romance. She never even wrote it on a computer for fear that someone would find it and trace it back to her. Every story she had ever written was written by hand, and she always took them with her, no matter where she went. This particular notebook that she was working on filling up was number ten. Two of them had been stolen in the burglary, and that was making her extremely n

One of the best books I ever read! The plot and twist, the love story of each couple and all the family drama. Thankful that this series compiled in one book so I can read it all. Long read but it's really worth it! I seldom post comments but I can't help it. Keep writing awesome stories, Author!!!

I’m on chapter and I’m already HOOKED. It’s definitely different than other novels I’ve read and it gives me a sense of more maturity (if that makes any sense). Will come back with an update the more I go alone

The mobster and the writer

The mobster and the writer

It was a nightmare anyway he thought about it. I didn't even want to imagine if it was me who died. Impossible. If he had come this far, he could continue to survive. Surely G wouldn't even show up, Hunter even less so. Plus it could always alert them in some way. He wasn't going to let anyone get killed. I would have to be more cunning than usual and try to make the lies come out more natural. Now what? I sighed and covered my face with a pillow. These things shouldn't happen to a writer. If he ever left this life once and for all, he would publish a book: How to Survive the Mafia.

VELVET CONTROL

Those words wouldn’t leave me now. I sat at the desk and opened my tablet. The hidden folder on Shawn’s MacBook had given me a name to chase: Carlisle Gallagher. The woman saved under SEXY. The former corporate lawyer turned bestselling legal thriller author. Mother of twins living secretly in Zurich. I needed her truth. I started with her debut novel, Veiled Verdicts. The story followed a brilliant young attorney navigating power imbalances, hidden affairs, and the slow erosion of trust in a cutthroat firm. I read deep into the night, highlighting passages that felt painfully autobiographical — scenes of intense, possessive encounters followed by sudden emotional distance, the quiet shame o

Preguntas frecuentes

I have a deep appreciation for authors who can keep me on the edge of my seat. Stephen King is an absolute master, with 'The Shining' and 'Misery' being standout examples of psychological terror. Gillian Flynn redefined the genre with 'Gone Girl,' a book so twisty it left me questioning everything. Then there's Tana French, whose Dublin Murder Squad series blends crime and psychological depth in a way that's utterly gripping.

For those who prefer international thrillers, Stieg Larsson's 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' is a must-read, offering a perfect mix of mystery and social commentary. And let's not forget Paula Hawkins, whose 'The Girl on the Train' delivers relentless suspense. Each of these authors brings something unique to the table, whether it's King's unparalleled ability to evoke fear or Flynn's knack for unreliable narrators. If you're looking for heart-pounding reads, these are the names you need to know.
