Raisel sat in Islandia’s library. It was in a very high tent and spacious, one could get missing in it. The shelves were made out of crystals that towered high above. Small dragons flew up to get books from the top shelves. She found a small corner in the library and took out her notes, she picked out any books, pamphlets, articles anything that had to do with the heart of magic. She read till midday, however, she could not find out anything that they didn’t already know.

He made sure to stay just out of range of the fighting yet close enough that he didn't freeze us out. I peeked around his horn, and my attention was immediately captured by the horrific sight. Though the sky was filled with both Golden and Blue Draygons, Tohr and Sólas were easy to spot. Tohr's Draygon shape was one of the largest, and the golden scales glinting the sun off perfectly. Sólas' was not as big as Tohr. Still, he was by no means small. The impacts of their forms against each other let out a sound like the crashing of thunder. When they would lock claws, it would send chills down my back like rubbing glass on glass just waiting for one or the other to shatter.

Linking my arm through Jade’s I began pulling her along to follow the boys. “Come on, try to get there before the sun starts coming up.” We met up with the guys, which Kellan had already shifted into a large green Dragon, but while he was magnificent, it wasn’t nearly as impressive as Cyran’s Dragon. Once we were all settled on Kellan’s Dragon, luggage and all, Kellan spread his gigantic wings and flapped them a few times before taking off into the night sky.

Dragons. “Liana?” Moran’s tone is almost somber, a tad bit authoritative. The girl stands up hurriedly, startled and sheepish. She bows deeply. “Princess Valerie wants to check out a few books. Please help her with whatever she requests.” Liana’s gaze darts towards me before her gaze gravitates back to Moran. She gives him a thin smile and nods in deference. Moran doesn’t wait after that. After he was gone, Liana asks me whether I had any specific book in mind, and when I mentioned mages, she guided me to the last aisle.

"You've improved." I blinked. "Really?" "Yes." His gaze moved over me. "Your balance is better." Before I could argue further, a very big shadow swept across the courtyard. I immediately lifted my eyes to the sky and saw two dragons soaring above Volkar. Their enormous wings stretched across the sky as they circled the fortress. My breath seized. It didn't matter how many times I saw them. The sight was always breathtaking. Sarah stopped beside me. "Creator." Mina followed my gaze. "I don't think I'll ever get used to that."

Max stepped in front of me, facing Dragon directly, and said, "She will not go with you alone. I am coming too." "Humans are not allowed inside!" Dragon challenged. I took a deep breath and calmed down a bit before finally speaking. I wasn’t afraid of Dragon anymore, but I was worried about him knowing about my children and that they were his. I pushed the thought aside and said impatiently, "Max is coming with me, or I won’t go back!" Dragon did not utter a single word; he left with the wind, dressed in a blue suit matching the color of his eyes. He still exuded strength and had become even more captivating.

I’d always sucked at giving up, even when I probably should have. I stole into the library one last time for the day, bummed again. On Saturday morning, though, I struck gold. Something sat on the sofa in exactly the same place I’d left my two gifts for Isobel. Holding my breath, I drew closer to discover it was another dragon book: a mint-condition hardback copy of Eragon by Christopher Paolini. It had been popular when I’d been a teen, but I’d never read it.

Anyway, while this book becomes the first book for dragon genre, it certainly wasn't my first book in the fantasy genre. The Dance of Fates: Bellatrix was my first fantasy book and I had finished it last year, 2020 so if you can go over my profile, you will find its completed version.
