“Traitor!” Reed roared, his voice echoing like a war drum.
The Circle swarmed, holding Cole down as he thrashed, cursing, spitting. “You’re all dead! The hunters own this city! You think you can fight them? You think you can win?”
The betrayal echoed like a howl through the room, raw and feral.
