Betrayed And Claimed By The Lycan King Novels & Stories

Triss said softly, as she recalled the memory, that seemed like a lifetime ago. “Really?” I asked her surprised and secretly pleased that someone other than Arnou had cared enough to want to check on me. “Yeah, but I came too late. Your maids told me you had gone with the Lycan. At first, I thought they were mistaken. But then rumors began to fly that the Lycan King had found his fated mate at the annual pack gala, and I wondered if it was indeed possible.” I looked at this wonderful friend of mine who loved me so unconditionally with joy in my heart.

But the man pushed me away after his whole body froze. My heart plummeted. The eyes staring down at me weren’t Elias’s warm brown ones. They were blue, cold as ice, and held no recognition or love. My arms dropped to my sides, the elation of moments ago replaced by anguish and dread. Before I could do anything, another man’s firm grip pulled me back. Jasper, finally recovering from his shock, stepped forward with anger and disbelief. “Who do you think you are?” he demanded. “I am the Lycan King,” the blue-eyed man said, his voice dripping with authority and menace. “And you will show respect.”

"I'm scared, Ophelia. That world is dangerous. It's terrifying. I can't bear the thought of putting them through what I went through." Ophelia gently smoothed my hair, offering what little comfort she could. But deep down, I knew the truth: things were far from alright. I was mates with the Lycan. The bond we shared brought us closer together despite my attempts to keep my distance. He also now knew my identity now. The Lily of the Valley would come crawling out of the woodwork once they learned that the healer who cured the Lycan king was their own. The children were the herald of it all—royalty on both sides of the family. There was bound to be a bloodbath.

“Look, I know you don’t trust me, and frankly, I don’t know if I trust you. But we only have each other right now. Help me and I vow to return the favor.” “The truth,” she murmurs. “It was never Camille who betrayed the King. It was the woman he thought was his mate.” My heart thuds in my chest. “She wasn't chosen by fate,” the former Queen continues. “She engineered the bond. Her bloodline came from the original rogue Lycans—exiled from the northern clans after the Great Sundering. Their vendetta against the royal line runs centuries deep.” I shake my head. “But I thought—”

"It means something different. We have gifts the alphas do not possess. We are healers, nurturers, survivors. Do not let them convince you that you are worthless." Her words are kind, but they cannot erase a lifetime of being told I am a mistake. I squeeze her hand, grateful for her compassion even if I cannot believe her reassurance. After Mary leaves, I force myself to eat a little. I will need my strength for what is coming. That night, I couldn't sleep. I lie in my bed and stare at the ceiling, wondering what tomorrow will bring. I have heard stories about the Lycan King. They say he murdered his own uncle to take the throne. They say he tears apart enemies with his bare hands. They say

"The doctor mentioned earlier that you have a weak constitution. Getting rid of the pregnancy could kill you." "I won't kill my babies," I whispered, hands protectively over my stomach. "But if you stay here..." Freya glanced around nervously. "Lucas and Mitchell won't let this threaten their position. You know how ruthless they can be." "The Lycan King is your only hope now. He needs to know what his son has done." My heart pounded as I made my way to the king's study, I pretended like I was coming to clean the kings study. The guards barely glanced at me.

Then she smiled. "So you're Lyra." My eyebrow furrowed. "Yes." "I'm Sage." She said. I had heard the name before from whispers among the servants. She is one everyone believed would become the next Luna of Stormbringer after his failed contract marriage. My stomach tightened. She walked around me slowly, examining me. "I expected you to look worse." I blinked. "I'm sorry?" She laughed softly. "Don't pretend you don't understand." I held my gaze. "You are here because the Lycan King was deceived into believing you were worthy of becoming his mate."

The Lycan king said, smirking at everyone. Upon hearing the words of the Lycan king, my heart hammered hard against my chest so much that I forgot to breathe, I forgot I was standing. I should say hiding and heave dropping on the meeting between the Lycan and the pack elder. Did the Lycan king say he might make me Luna, my legs went jelly thinking about what the Lycan king had just said. “What’s going on?” I asked myself. Am I being used again, is that all I’m worth? Why does everyone only want to use me? I kept asking myself, as my legs began to retreat back on their own. Just before I went out of sight, the Lycan King’s eye met mine. Seeing I had been caught, I quickly ran back in the oppo

“I was your Alpha! You belong to me!” Lawrence looked at him out of the corner of his eye with an imperial coldness that froze the heat of the corridor. “She never belonged to you, lesser wolf,” the King Lycan declared in a voice like thunder, before lifting me into his massive arms to cross the broken threshold. “Enjoy the ashes of your betrayal.”

“I assume that if you don’t have a pack anymore, you probably have nowhere to stay. How do you intend to get revenge?” I stayed silent, tongue-tied. He was right. I would need help if I wanted to achieve my goals...but I didn’t want to get involved with another man. Not after what Mike did to me. “That’s true, but you don’t even know me. If you’re the Lycan King like you claim, then I’m not sure it’s wise to bring home a stranger you met yesterday.” “You’re not a stranger,” he said smoothly. “You’re my mate.”
