Betrayed By Everyone, Loved By Four. By Kj Novels & Stories

I had loved him. I had given him every part of my heart because I believed he was different. But he had lied to me. He had betrayed me. And the worst part was that I had never seen it coming. A sob escaped me. I covered my mouth, but more tears followed. "Why?" I looked down at my baby through my tears. "Why did everyone betray me?" My shoulders shook. I had spent my entire life being made to feel like I wasn't enough. My family had treated me like I was worthless. Jake had rejected and humiliated me. Isabella had betrayed me.

They ran freely down his face. “I was so damn arrogant. Always thought that I had the right to take whatever I wanted. I couldn’t even see that my so called love was killing you inside.” He exhaled shakily, like the weight of those words had been pressing on his chest for years. “I betrayed everyone. My parents, my brother… Britney, Samuel… your parents… each and every one of them. Everyone who trusted me. Everyone who believed I was something better. I threw it all away. And for what?”

For a moment, I thought of Ajax - the only guy I have ever loved. "Do you know how it feels when someone betrays you, but you still can't help yourself but love them? It destroys your very sense of self. The pain shatters your heart. You can't eat, drink or sleep. When they leave, you feel empty, and yet, staying with them tests your mettle. You can't look at them but when you close your eyes, they are all you see." His eyes squeezed shut in pain. "I can't just leave her, Kate. I can't give up on us."

What was the ultimate form of betrayal? Simple. It was when the person you loved and trusted the most… was the very one hurting you. Right now, I was living it and that betrayal came from the man I loved. My boyfriend of four years wanted to reject me—for a woman he had just met. Yesterday. I stood there, frozen in a daze, listening to him speak. I heard the words, but they didn’t seem to register. Because none of it made sense. I couldn’t understand what he was saying… or maybe I just didn’t want to.

"I loved her, fuck I still love her. I wanted to give her the world and spend the rest of my life with her. I was willing to give her everything, but she went ahead and betrayed me, and of all the guys in the world, it had to be my freaking cousin." Shit, he loves her. How could anyone ever think of cheating on someone who cared so much about them? Who am I kidding, Jamie did it to me as well. I don't even know what to say to make him feel better. I just watched him as he cried for the woman he loved. If only someone could love me like that. ~~~~

Because if he will just hurt me in the end, then just kill me now because that's a lot better than hurting me when I'm already dependent on him and betray me when I already gave him everything that I have. I trust him with my life. Please, Cayden. Please don't betray me because no one knows how it hurts to be betrayed by your own family. No one knows how it broke me except for Cayden. He totally knows how to break me and how to heal me. I hope love will be enough reason for him to stay because I don't know if I'll still live if he'll leave me.

He leaned forward, immediately taking my hand carefully, and he said softly, "Everything would be fine, dont just worry, i know to be strong, and God preserved your life for a reason ok" Hearing him try to be brave for me only made me cry harder because I felt like a child again like the little girl who scraped her knee and ran home, believing her father could fix everything. “But why is it always me,” I choked out between tears, “why is it that everyone I know keeps betraying me.” He tightened his grip on my hand, and I could see the anger flash in his eyes, but he did not interrupt me. “Betty,” I continued, and saying her name felt like swallowing broken glass, “I thought she was my friend

How can they be so evil? I loved Jade. How could the man I gave everything to, the man I trusted, do this to me? How could Leah, my friend, betray me so shamelessly? The pain is unbearable like my chest is being squashed. My body shakes with silent sobs, my hands trembling as I try to wipe away the endless tears. But they won’t stop. They keep coming relentlessly. I don’t know how to stop them. I don’t even know if I want to. ***

“You actually think I’m going to stand here, apologize, and just crawl back to you?” His expression hardened. “You *love* me.” I tilted my head. “Do I?” “Yes,” he said firmly. “You always have. And you never betray the people you love.” That made my amusement fade slightly. I met his gaze head-on. “You’re right about one thing—we should never betray the people we love. But you?” I let out a small, mirthless chuckle. “You betrayed me the night you kissed Katharine and spent the night with Katharine instead of celebrating our 5th anniversary together.”

"You knew and you didn't tell me..." She licked her lips, "What was I supposed to tell you, E? Hi, I'm the cousin of the man who murdered your parents, wanna be friends? Oh, and my boyfriend is probably the man who shot your dad or maybe, your mom... You would have run in the other direction." I let out a scoff, the only person I thought was honest with me, shit! "You know... the thing about betrayal is that it always comes from the people you love and trust the most."
