His claws pricked his palms as he yanked out the first relevant tome: The Bewitched & The Beastly: Supernatural Attractions. The wooden chair protested as he threw himself into it, the lamplight casting jagged shadows across the pages. Dust motes swirled around him as he flipped to the chapter on witches.

The werewolves watched us with a mix of curiosity and wariness, their trust still tenuous. It was in a hidden alcove, behind a false wall, that we finally found what we were looking for. A dusty chest, bound with iron and marked with the same symbol from the book. My heart pounded as I opened it, revealing a collection of ancient scrolls and a single, ornate dagger. Nathanial carefully unrolled one of the scrolls, his eyes scanning the faded script. "This is it. The prophecy." I leaned over his shoulder, reading the words aloud. This led to jealousy from Elara, who ultimately succumbed to a destructive rage when Aria became the queen witch. In a twist of fate, the moon goddess paired Aria with the most powerful creature, a Lycan named Lysander. As Aria and Lysander tied the knot, they began working together to spread harmony and peace throughout the world.

Satisfied, I sat cross legged in my room and began to crochet, using a small hook so too much of them would not be exposed. There was a full moon supposed to happen that night, and I wanted to shift, because I had not participated in the last one in my pack. Yet, I felt queasy, ill and uneasy about it. Shaking my head to clear my thoughts, I decided that if I felt any better in the evening I would participate, and if not, I would simply moonbathe. I began crocheting, and minutes later I heard the familiar squeak of wheels in the hallway, probably Bella coming to give me food. Instead, I saw one of the other maids, who had a note to me from Bella.

As my eyes glowed a deep violet color.

Erebus repeated, thinking about the ballad, "is... a witch?" "I think so." Kitty nodded, "The Blood Moon Forest is apparently taken by a spell, and the curse only works on witches and wizards, so --" "So naturally, it can only be breaking by them, too." Erebus nodded, "Should I be counted as a wizard though? You know? I AM a werewolf."
