Taking The Demon's Mate
Fire struck first, meant to rattle their enemies - to scorch their courage before the real assault began.
The second ring, Metal, stood as a wall of lightly armored phantom warriors, swift and hard to kill, absorbing the brunt of the beast-men’s charge. Behind them came the Wood contingent: beta archers hardened by years of training, their bows bending like serpents. Arrows fell like black rain; their hiss lost beneath the clash of steel. If their quivers ran dry, or if the enemy tore through Metal and Wood, they would meet Earth - beast-men and sword-masters holding their strength in reserve, eyes cold, waiting for the killing blow.
