It hung there, comically large, nearly slipping off when she moved her arm. But you would have thought I'd given her the moon itself from the way her face lit up.

I turn the dial once more and the weapon retracts to become a normal cuff. Then, I turn it again to reveal the weapon. It's got an excellent time ratio for a quick attack as well. Precisely at around 1.2 seconds before the weapon fully manifests. Not bad, I’d say. “I love it.” I blurt out and glance at my father. “Can I get this?”

I realized his gaze was fixed on the watch in my left hand. “Isn’t it beautiful?” I ask, and his soul returned to his body. “May I take a closer look at your wristwatch?” Ignoring the fact that what he said startled me, I did not hesitate to raise my hand and extend it to him. He grasped my hand quickly yet gently and examined the watch I was wearing, which the mushroom had given me. ‘‘Isn’t it lovely?’’ Blade seems to be so absorbed because he didn’t even bother to answer me. “Do you like lavender too?’’ I added.

Jazper Ray placed something in my palm and my breath caught. It was a silver watch. Elegant. Expensive-looking. Tiny diamonds lined the edges, sparkling like little stars.
