I could have put the tv on, but I knew there wouldn't be anything of interest on there. I glanced over at Rakesh who was sleeping peacefully, then to the closed curtains. I was half tempted to see what would happen if I opened them, even for a little bit. Then out of curiosity, I flipped the page to the notes on vampires. Some of it felt like it had come out of a movie or book but other bits were a surprise to me. For example, it was a lie that vampires couldn't be near garlic and that this was a lie told by them to prove they were not vampires. This apparently came about due to the odd vampire who, in their human lives, was allergic to garlic and not because of their vampire nature.

Hey readers I know I'm not giving proper updates to this book. I am extremely sorry about it. I have been quite busy because of my studies, and I have to wrap up my other story, "Love Me Again." The story has few chapters left, and then I'll continue another book in it with the story of next generation. So, I am focusing more on it as it's about to end. Soon, I'll come up with new chapters for Beyond The Time.

***MAYA'S POV*** My eyes fluttered open, struggling to adjust to the glaring light overhead. As the brightness faded into focus, I was met with stark white walls that felt more like a canvas hauntingly devoid of color. The sterile smell of antiseptic mixed with faint whiffs of medication filled the air, suffocating me. A nearby machine beeped in a steady rhythm, the sound foreign and mechanical. Suddenly, it all came rushing back. I shot up in bed, adrenaline coursing through me, only to feel a firm hand on my shoulder, gently but insistently pulling me back down. I turned to find Christi, her face etched with concern, eyes brimming with unshed tears.

They both were a force of nature, beautiful and deadly. Once more Dannie’s world shifted and she blinked several times to realize what she was looking at — the black book. Dannie felt heavy, sluggish. Thoughts came slowly if they came at all. She looked up and around herself, recognizing the familiar room. Dannie was in the infirmary. Was she still dreaming? Dannie looked back at the book and peeled the gray cloth back, revealing the black leather cover.

The punishment didn't last. At the crucial moment, Serena suddenly "fainted" right on cue. The whole family's attention instantly shifted. Doctors, nurses – it was chaos. Elara, enduring the sharp pain, retreated to her room. She pulled out her phone. There was an unread message from an encrypted number, a set of coordinates. "Three days from now, midnight. The last boat at Pier 24. Bring your people, the rest is on me. – J"

’ she thought to herself, though she hesitated to admit why she felt happy about it. Still, the anticipation was there. Alica was almost done with the current book in her hands—a literature text regarding the common practices of the people of H’Trae which had now been outlawed. She had read this particular book before, but that was so long ago—back when she had just started frequenting the Library. A lot had happened since then, and so she wanted to revisit the literature to see if she could have a new, more informed, understanding of what she had read before.

Amora asked Alex while looking at Alex and his hands looking for the book. "No, mother, I didn't find it" Alex replied while wiping his sweat because he was tired of looking for the book. Until suddenly, Amora saw a book that was on the top shelf. The book was dark purple in color and had white beads that glowed and the only book that gave off a white glow. "Alex, that book looks interesting could you please get me the book?" Amora said while pointing at the shelf where the book was, Alex suddenly looked at the book and nodded to his mother as a sign that he was going to take the book.

Without my knowledge, the book slipped out of my hand and I looked down at the book like I'm facing the real ghost and the sentence read, "...eyes, pale skin human." I desperately need to find the missing 30 pages. Damn!! Those 30 pages could have everything about the Heil!!!! *
