Commanding. My lungs finally obeyed. Air rushed out of my mouth as I inhaled sharply. But I still could not open my eyes. Not yet. His presence was overwhelming. “What tattoo do you have here?” His voice came again. Soft. Curious. His thumb traced the spot just beneath my breast. My eyes flew open. Oh. He was talking about my tattoo. Three small birds. And a feather beneath them. A symbol of freedom I had gotten in college. His thumb continued to brush over the design slowly.

At least he had a shirt on that day. Then something caught my eye. On his left pec, near his heart, there was now a tattoo. Unconsciously I stepped forward so I could get a closer, better look at the newly designed tattoo. It was the name 'Baby B' in cursive italics. Under the name were two red roses in the form of an 'x'. My fingers were itching to touch the newly done tattoo but I knew better.

I spotted a small Italic tattoo right under his breastbone, and my eyes widened in surprise. Nathan with a tattoo is unbelievable. I trail my index finger over the words that were written in a language that I did not understand.
