Verath caught her before she hit the ground. The earth split open. A gigantic chasm appeared in the center of the clearing. Darkness poured from it. Not shadow. Not smoke. Darkness itself. Ancient. Cold. Alive. The dragons backed away. Thousands of dragons. Retreating. A sound emerged from the chasm. Breathing. Something was breathing. Slow. Heavy. As though awakening from an impossibly long sleep. The darkness shifted. Then two eyes opened. They were enormous. Larger than castles.

The elderly vendor, with weathered hands that spoke, held forth an exquisite piece. Intricate links of gold, meticulously wrought, formed an elegant chain that draped seamlessly, creating a delicate framework for the centerpiece. At the heart of the necklace rested a sizable blue gemstone, capturing the essence of the deep ocean in its rich hue. The gemstone, cradled within a golden setting, emanated a mesmerizing brilliance that danced with every movement. Its facets catch and refract light, creating an ever-changing play of colors that evoke a sense of desire.

Solomon POV The journey to my brother’s realm was short, but the apprehension I felt was a never-ending feeling. I was worried. Things in the realm were changing. The dragon had a gargantuan body and was tens of thousands of meters long. It had black scales all over its body and exuded tremendous power.

Alex was frightened to the point he almost wet himself. Its length was maybe thousands of meters, and just its eyeball was already bigger than a villa.
