Once I reached home I had already prepared myself to open it but I had to savour the moment of having the first magic book in the world.

He nodded slowly and before he could say anything more, the bedroom door swung open. Erick and Jess stood at the doorway; they were both breathless, so we knew they were running. Jess held one of the thickest books I had ever seen; it was a large brown book with golden decals swirled throughout the cover. In the front of the book, in a silvery oval was a white infinity symbol I didn’t quite recognize and then written in white above the symbol read: Book of Magic. “Woah…” I breathed, staring at the book. It was real.

“My dear baby, this is mother's favourite storybook. Don't be mad at your brother, okay? Let's just read." The little baby girl blinked her big, round eyes. Her hand reached up, toward the book, as if she agreed to her mother's invitation. It was then, Alameida who saw them gasped. "Ah! Isn't that the book I wrote?!” Harriet immediately turned to Alameida with wide eyes. "Eh?!" The long blonde-haired woman chuckled next to Harriet looking at the children's storybook called [The Elf Princess and the Giant Wolf]. “Oh, I'm so happy… I didn't expect my book to be read to my great-grandchildren like this…”

He walked towards the shelf and took out one of the book and opened it. He looked in as his eyes scanned the contents in the first page. He saw a lot of drawings of strange creatures and a man. A man...who looked strangely familiar. Craig's eyes dimmed and before he could make out the face of this strange man, the book flew off his hand! He stared at the book as it floated trough the air and discovered the figure standing in front of him. "How dare you!!" "Elizabeth..... listen to me!" "No! I'm not Elizabeth! I'm Tabitha...the eleventh daughter of Lord Krishna." She blurted out.

"Not everyone in the Society has memorized them. It would do you good to remember that just because you are my daughter does not mean that you will be protected from the others. The whole bookshelf gave off a blue glow, a powerful spell that would neutralize anyone curious

The room was silent, towering shelves filled the room. Tall shelves filled with a variety of books. From thin books to those that are as thick as cardboard, there are also books on the shelf. And those who become the most immortal inhabitants will usually be very rarely touched. The big lamp right in the middle of the building made a bright impression on the room.

Even so, I still grab that colorful one before reading the title on the cover. “Big Magic. Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert.” I nod my head. “Is this even a good read?” I talked to myself once again and start walking back towards the chair for me to sit on. I skim through the pages and concluded that these are new since it smells like bookstore. A flash of memory then flash inside my mind and concluded right after. “Maybe this is one of the books he bought last Saturday?” That day when we saw each other inside that stall but he automatically look away and ignored my whole existence.

The words seemed to leap off the page, filling the room with an eerie sense of foreboding. Everything written in the book didn't make any sense to either Stella or Morgan. They found everything in the book quite absurd. The book spoke of witches, dragons, angels, vampires, and the devil. They didn't believe in such a thing at all, weren't they just fantasy? If they were to interpret it, it only meant that Grandma Elizabeth was a witch while the stranger guy whom Stella had picked from the streets the previous night was the devil.

The last time she casted a spell, she was very weak so I was worried what spell she casted now. "Open it," Jax said, his voice sounding tense. My fingers fumbled with the clasp. I flipped through the brittle pages, my heart pounding. Then I saw it. A chapter, neatly titled in elegant script: "Becoming a Full Magician." What? Elena never told me anything about this. Was this a new spell? How powerful was this spell that it turned her almost mindless? I tried to look through the book to know if there was any part that talked about the side effects of such a spell or what it would cost whoever cast it but there was nothing. All it had was the spell, a single line and nothing else.
