Billy Butcher Novels & Stories

After I baked him a cake like some kind of unhinged P*******t housewife. My shoulder aches, a dull, warm throb just below my collarbone, and when I twist to look at it in the mirror across the room, there’s a mark there—not quite a bruise, not quite a hickey, dark and strange at the edges. Great. Add “walking around with a hickey the size of a fist” to today’s list of problems. The bathroom door opens and Damien steps out, hair damp, sweatpants low on his hips, and every ounce of my composure leaves the building.

I chuckled "You all can't blame me. I've missed having a burger. I'm sure you also have missed it too. " " I took a burger yesterday, " Martha said " I'm not a fan of burgers but I'll settle for the coffee. Coffee is life by the way. The waitress came to take our order. Martha only wanted coffee while Bella ordered the same thing I ordered. We spent a few hours at the burger shop. We talked about stuff. The questions were more about me. I guess since I was now jobless, their new mission was to get a job for me. I don't mind. I need a job badly.

He sits at a table by the window, and I walk up to him with his order on my tray, I place his food on his table. "Here is your order," I said. "Have you eaten yet?" "Not yet, I can only have lunch when my work is done" "What do you mean? Just sit." I sat down in front of him. "You see, customers are still arriving, I have to serve them before lunch," I said, I saw him take his burger and handed it to me. "Eat" “What? This is yours” "It's ours now" Billy said, why is he like this? He made me blush a second time.

This was bad—he didn't remember me at all. Billy was the grandson of Patrick Newman, the butler at the Greven residence. When we were kids, we played together. As he grew up, however, he squandered his time on gambling, drinking, and partying. His father sent him abroad, and we hadn't seen each other since. He must've only returned recently, completely unaware of what had happened in the past. Seeing me in a mess, Norris finally stepped in. "Billy, is it? Don't ruin her face, please. I'm sure Mr. Greven likes her because of her looks…"

Louis led his men in a rampage, smashing everything they saw and hacking at every box in sight. "Darryl Bishop! Get out here and die!" But instead of me, a nearly seven-foot-tall bald brute appeared, his face especially fierce. This bald brute was infamously known as "The Butcher" in the neighborhood—extremely short-tempered and brutally ruthless. A few days ago, I had deliberately rented this storefront to him at a bargain price, letting him use it as a temporary warehouse for storing his goods. Now, The Butcher stood there, staring at the shattered goods strewn across the floor, his face twitching violently.

Billy was standing in the doorway, wearing a tailored dark coat over a casual sweater, holding two steaming containers of takeout in a brown paper bag. "Hi," I said, leaning against the doorframe. "I didn't know you were coming." Billy smirked, raising the bag slightly. "Sorry. Should I leave before I get chopped up for dropping in unannounced?" I laughed softly, stepping aside to let him in. "Oh, it's fine. You brought food, so you're officially invited." He walked into the high-ceilinged space, setting the bag down on a low side table while taking in the room. "What are you up to?"

I tried to break the silence. Everyone looked at me. Okay, I'll cut to the chase. “Actually, my name is Billy, and I'm a Beta.” "Sorry, I didn't hear that clear... could you... ?" Madelyn's parents reacted for a moment, as if in disbelief. His father hesitated: "You mean, you're the beta from the Black Valley Pack? Charles's beta Billy? In my memory, I've only heard of one B**e named Billy." "Yes, I am." "Oh my god!" Kelly covered her mouth. "I just said something rude to you, OH MY..."

In this freakshow, acting normal makes you the freak. I shook it off, hopped on my scooter, and sped to the Slaughterhouse of Despair. Boss there? King Butcher. Silent, ripped, built like a tank. Favorite food? Garden salad. The irony kills me every time. He didn't say a word, just took the salad. Then he grabbed a cleaver—tiny one, palm-sized. My brain went straight to 'oh great, bug in the salad, I'm about to get diced.' But nope. He pulled out an apple and carved few little bunny out of it, like some Pinterest mom.

"Anders got him away from the door and into the yard. They are arguing and Billy is very upset. He keeps wagging his finger at Anders. Man, his face is beet red. If he doesn't calm down, he'll take a heart attack." "Yeah, well. After what he allowed that mob to do to you, I have little to no sympathy for Billy. I have only met him a few times now, as he sat on the other side of the interview table and let me tell you, he was a bastard." "Damn it, Drake. Before the incident, he was the nicest man on earth, but I cannot be friends with this jerk. Not the way he is behaving now. No way in hell!"
