Just as we were about to move, Eira suddenly spoke. “I might have a way to help,” she said. We all looked at her. “I can summon a Spirit Bird to guide us.” “It’s a small spirit creature formed from magic energy. It looks like a tiny warbler, but it can fly much higher and faster than a normal bird. If I send it ahead, it can watch the skies and warn us if the weather starts to change.” The idea caught everyone’s attention. Still, I couldn’t help feeling uneasy.. “Are you sure that little spirit bird will be alright?” I asked, glancing up at the sky. “The weather up here changes too fast. What if a snowstorm or hail suddenly rolls in? Will it be able to get away before things get bad?”

“We will, once the issues with Ryan and the Elders are over. I promise.” As we headed back, the forest’s sounds seemed more pronounced—the chirping of crickets, the soft hoot of an owl, the whispering of the wind through the trees. And then, as if nature itself was putting on a show for us, a bluebird appeared. Delicate and vibrant, it fluttered around us before settling gently on Aurora’s leg. She blinked in surprise, her tiny hands reaching up to touch the creature, but it remained undeterred. I stared, my heart racing. Bluebirds were symbolic in our world, often representing the emergence of new powers. Could this be a sign of Aurora’s first ability as a werewolf?

I thought it would be a spectacular show.” At our confused expressions, he explains, “The Firebird is known in some places as the phoenix. It dies and resurrects in a gust of flames. There’s nothing like it in this world.” I stare more curiously at the bird. “It can come back to life?” Gavin nods. “Some cultures believe that the Firebird can live on forever if she chooses to. Like vampires.”

Because this Core Feather was as or even more important than the Beast Core. Generally, Demonic Beasts would die if their Beast Core was destroyed, unlike humans who would only lose their powers and become ordinary humans. However, Firebird was no ordinary Demonic Beast, its potential was at the highest level among other flying Demonic Beasts. Firebird was a descendant of the Phoenix and this bird also had the ability to resurrect from the Phoenix. So Firebird can still revive even if its Beast Core is destroyed. But Firebird will truly die if its Core Feather is removed, as the Beast Core is the source of its resurrection ability.
