"You don't have to sit down like me to pee you know."
“I can’t if someone is watching me, twig.” I grinned. “I bet they want to know about my pee as well.”
“Just go, pee, and come back,” Gael interrupted us. “We need to find a place to stay before sunset.”
I marched first toward the tall grass that almost reached my knees. “Careful, there could be snakes underneath.”
Iris shrieked, jumped, and ran closer to me. “Not funny!”
“Just warning you, twig. We may be invincible to the virus, but not to the venom. Come here.” Before she could reach me, I scooped her and threw her over my shoulder.
