The air between them was heavy with unsaid words and crackled, but the knock was stronger this time. With a knot of dread in her stomach, Anita turned towards the door. Nathan let out a sharp breath, combed his hair, and strode ahead. He pulled the door open after unlocking it. On the opposite side stood Sebastian Blackwood. The man was a powerful figure, dressed in a fitted black suit. He was tall, broad-shouldered, and had icy, merciless blue eyes.

The butler got frightened by Zayn’s appearance and fell back on the floor. “Ah!” He cries. “You shouldn’t be screaming like that. Beast people have very sensitive hearing.” I curled in a smile. The butler's face turns white, staring at Zayn, who reveals his wolf ears and fangs.

He was an anomaly for sure. “Well well, what do we have here? A peasant who happens to know of our works?” The white haired man said, crossing his arms and leaning back. The butler took a deep breath to calm himself. The man before him was menacing. “I’m h-here on b-behalf of my m-master.” the butler stuttered out. This caused the white haired man to chuckle. “Sit.” The man behind the desk ordered the butler. The butler hesitated before sitting before the white haired man.

She had just placed her phone on the table when there was a knock on the door. She said, “Enter,” and a man in his forties stepped inside. He wore a black tailcoat and a hat, with a few strands of white hair on his head. He entered and bowed in front of her. “Good morning, Madam. I’m the butler of the Whitmore mansion. My name is William Smith, but please, you can call me Will, as the master does.”

The Butler openly states, showing delightful wrinkles on his face. "I do too, and thank you, Sebastian. I am home," She expresses as she halts her feet. Sebastian, their Butler, is a man in his sixties, and he towers all the working maids, gardeners in the mansion. His chocolate-like eyes are soft and kind that reflects his characteristic inside. Even though his grey hair is revealing, everyone could tell he was a marvelous man in his teenage years. Furthermore, he looks flawless in his mono-color black uniform. "Why did you not give us advance notice of your return, Lady Veronica?" Sebastian asks curiously with a confused expression.

A voice suddenly echoes in the large living room and I turn to see a man dressed in a butler's attire at the entrance, he lowered his head respectfully. “I'm Winston. The previous butler fell ill and so, I have been newly appointed by Mr Blackwood.” As if I knew who the old butler was. I force a small smile and nod. “It's nice to meet you Winston. I remember Alexander mentioned something about some maids too, did you perhaps come with them?” Winston smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “Yes Mrs Blackwood.” He faced the door and clapped twice and some maids walked in with their heads slightly lowered.”

"Britney, it seems like you were overly concerned about a butler! If you're really curious, I have a suggestion for you..." Manuel's eyes narrowed slightly, his pitch-black pupils capturing her, his voice steady. "Tonight, indulge me! I will tell you everything!"
