What’s in them?” Dahlia’s gaze flickered toward the ring, and I saw the hesitation in her eyes. She opened her mouth to respond but seemed to be searching for the right words. “It’s… a ritual,” she began slowly, her voice barely above a whisper. “The jugs contain a special liquid, a mix of herbs and other things. It’s part of the fight, a test of strength and resilience.”

They traded blows back and forth but it was obvious how much more experience the bandit had. All of Dahlia’s movements were clumsy, desperate, and he soon overwhelmed her.
