The horses had red eyes, and the men riding them were vampires. I couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia as I gazed upon the castle's familiar yet strange silhouette, its resemblance to my own home stirring memories and emotions I thought long buried. And yet, despite the sense of déjà vu, this castle was unmistakably unique, its black stone walls seeming to absorb the faint moonlight that struggled to penetrate the gloom. The air around it appeared to vibrate with a dark, malevolent energy, as if the very fabric of the castle was infused with the same smoky, ethereal substance that swirled around Haven when she wielded her Necromancy.
