Alpha Kate

Alpha Kate

I knew she would be scared but she needed to be strong so I could get us out of this, and we could move on. As I sat there waiting for my opportunity to speak with Kate, I heard the door to the holding cells open. I could smell her before I saw her. But I also smelled other less familiar scents. As expected, I saw Kate first, then Beta Reid and Gamma John. No doubt the muscle to do any dirty work. I wouldn’t expect Kate to get her hands dirty. Oh I know she’s worked hard and had her fair share of dealing with rogues, but has she really soiled her little hands? Doubtful that the princess has had to do much.

Also I’m happy about how strong the main female character, Alpha Kate is. She never backs down from any of the pressure to conform to any of the backwards old fashioned ideas for women and sticks to her principles! I can relate to her and the struggles so it’s an encouraging story. Well done author!
Deborah Dowling
Love this book. Poor Kate went through so much during the course of this book. She went from being rejected, having to postpone being made Alpha, to being challenged and attacked multiple times. I'm so happy that she finally got her mate, Colby, who seems to be amazing.

MATES: REMNANTS OF A BETRAYED BOND

MATES: REMNANTS OF A BETRAYED BOND

RAINA’S POV I heightened my guard, let my fork rest on my plate, and leaned back in my chair to slowly look up. I found three of the most respected, well-liked females in Kain’s pack. I blinked. “If you’re here to—” “Stop. We've been dying to say something,” the first one with long black braids said. She put down her plate on the table and clapped her deep-brown hands in excitement. I believe she was Zerika, the Gamma female here. She sported the kind of grin that made people think twice.

King of Chaos

King of Chaos

For now, her current goal was to get from her home world of Adryn-VI in a rural corner of Hyperion space and get to Braeccus Alpha. The calm and silence was so prevalent that she dozed off in the chair. In her dreams she sees the vastness of the cosmos, the planets, and the stars, a shape catches her attention. In an asteroid belt, amongst the rocks was a massive ship. It was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen, hundreds of meters of black sleek armor with large intimidating guns and cannons, and at the back were powerful engines that spewed forth blue light. Just by looking at it, she could picture the rocking of the deck as the guns fired and she could feel the thrum as the engines ro

But that didn’t bother her, giving into her animal instincts gave her solace, gave her peace. Within a few seconds, the white wolf was gone, and in its place stood a tall, lean woman with hair almost as white as snow and eyes as blue as the endless oceans. In place of the white wolf, now stood Mikalya Carnell, the first ever Female Alpha in the world dominated by male shifters.

To prevent his suspicion, she even removed her stockings after he left. Afterward came her manipulation of persuading me to convince the skeptical Alistair to undergo tests, then falsifying lab results and switching X-rays. Not to mention, she even slept with me so she could take over that surgery. Following the release of Jade's confession, media outlets circulated it feverishly. A flood of named accusations followed, including from her colleague in the laboratory who had been detained. Among these were women with experiences similar to Jade's—most having been assaulted during eye surgeries while blindfolded. Some had held back tears to preserve their vision; others couldn't and lost their

The Female Alpha

The Female Alpha

I let out a whimper as my face elongates and I feel my finger nails become claws. I feel like hours go by buts it’s only minutes. All of the sudden I feel no more pain. I open my eyes and my mother is in front of me and I'm towering over her and Sarah they look……..tiny? I look and my father and brother who are both very tall at 6,7 and even they look small. "Hunny you and Midnight are amazing come look in the stream." I stager a little and take a few steps to the stream and I can't believe it when I see myself. I'm pure black my eyes are ice blue and almost glowing. What the hell how am I all black only Alpha's are pure black. M: that's because we are Alpha silly girl!

"No but I'm not a wolf. My pack had been cursed years ago so nobody can access his or her wolf side except for the Female Alpha for now" Adrian's eyes widened and one could tell it was the first time he was hearing about the news, "So you can't live as a wolf now?" "Yes" Her gaze fell on the ground. Adrian slightly lifted her head, "it's fine, sweetie. I'm sure you would be able to access it soon. Let's go now, it's getting later." "Hmm" She nodded and they left the school. * Maya walked to a room in the corridors and shut it behind her. She walked further into the room and opened the window. She poked her head out to look at the stars struggling to pop off in the yet dark sky and she let ou

I continued cautiously, the words feeling forbidden. A dry chuckle rattled through the hollow “The names men give to cosmic vandalism, you wish to break a thing the moon herself has woven, you are but a small creature with a very large hammer” “Can it be done? ” i demanded ignoring her mockery Light bloomed, a soft fluorescent glow from a pool of stagnant water in the center of the space and by it she sat or rather she existed she was less a woman and more a collection of impressions. Her hair tangled like moss, skin like birch barks and eyes that were pools of absolute black reflecting nothing

Frequently Asked Questions

One name that immediately comes to mind is Octavia Butler—her work is groundbreaking. 'Kindred' isn't strictly sci-fi, more a blend of historical fiction and speculative elements, but her 'Parable' series and 'Lilith’s Brood' trilogy are pure masterpieces of the genre. She had this uncanny ability to weave social commentary into alien landscapes and dystopian futures. N.K. Jemisin is another giant; her 'Broken Earth' trilogy won three consecutive Hugo Awards, which is insane. Jemisin’s world-building feels like nothing else—raw, emotional, and deeply political. Then there’s Samuel R. Delany, a pioneer since the ’60s with works like 'Dhalgren' and 'Babel-17.' His stuff is experimental, almost poetic, and tackles race, sexuality, and identity in ways that still feel fresh.

And let’s not forget Nnedi Okorafor, who blends African futurism with sci-fi in 'Who Fears Death' and the 'Binti' series. Her storytelling is so vivid, like folklore meets interstellar adventure. These authors don’t just write sci-fi; they redefine it, pushing boundaries and centering perspectives often left out of the genre. It’s thrilling to see their influence grow—bookstores finally giving them front shelves, adaptations popping up. Feels like a long-overdue renaissance.
