The rest of the winged lizardmen grunted in unison which I took to be some kind of tribal thing. It was a bit confusing. They were lizards with wings, and the only lizards with wings were... “But Draconic means dragon, doesn’t it?” “Yes,” said Keezy. “They’re called the Draconic Guard because they guard that.” He pointed across the plain. It took a moment for me to see it. Flying towards us, barely a few inches above the tall grass, was a dragon. “Ohhh, I see.” I turned back to the others. “They guard the, you know, the dragon.” My voice faded as I spoke so only a squeak came out by the time I got to ‘dragon’.

Lana sighed as she looked at the cage and then walked back toward the house. Harris raised an eyebrow when he saw the large crate Lana was carrying. “What are those?” Harris asked when he saw something that looked like it was a cross between a chicken and a miniature dragon. The wings looked nothing like those of a chicken and it had a featherless tail that looked like a dragon's tail. The eyes were kind of creepy, little dragon eyes on a darn chicken! Lana looked at her chickens and then at Harris as she furrowed her eyebrows, “They’re chickens!” Lana stated. Harris' mouth opened and closed a few times and Atticus chuckled as he rubbed his back.

Violet immediately jumped from the edge of the pool on the cliff and immediately turned into a dragon. Its body is completely black and the tips of its horns, tail and membrane on its wings are slightly purple in color.

The ground beneath me shakes violently, forcing me to bend my knees to stay upright, but the crowd above ripples with excitement and applause, loving every second of it. The moment he took note of the creature, the rune on its forehead shined brighter. Zephyr could tell what this creature was immediately based on the rune on its forehead — a Dragon Lizard.

I try to narrow my eyes, widening them when I see a new creature. In Thail's place stands a large and dark dragon with golden frills running from the top of its head to the end of its tail. Its eyes glow in gold, and the creature's wings are the same feathery ones from before, but the wingspan is far broader. Thail is beautiful. I also noticed that he has four legs, not two like a wyvern, and each little toe is equipped with a deadly talon. "Holy shit!" I exclaim. "You did it! You shape-shifted!"

Darrion led the both of them to a small stream where a bird monster was currently drinking from. The bird looked like an ostrich, but it was brown, bigger and seemed more powerful than an ostrich. Unlike ostrich that usually tuck their wings, this monster’s wings were opened to the side and it could be seen how long the pair of it was. But due to its long legs and big claws, none of the boys think this bird monster would use those wings to fly.

Scales moving underneath my lower back had me scooting away. I had been sleeping upright on this massive pearl dragon. The light that filtered through the trees hit the scales at such an angle. Small little iridescent rainbows lit up her scales. That’s right her, because for some reason in my mind that was what I dubbed her as. Her head leaned back, giving me the proper angles to see how big she was. Her lightly purple talons were massive, her scales rippled down her, similarly to Creed. The top of her head held massive spiraling textured horns. Small white feather like tendrils went down her neck, just like Creeds. Her wings were leather-like but also patchy areas of small feathers.
