I began to slowly suffocate, my mind going blank from oxygen deficiency, while the image of Dicken turned murky.
And as death approached, he spread my legs as wide as possible, and I felt more pain from my neck where Dicken was biting me. I realized in despair that Dicken might intend to mate with me and then devour me—in the genuine sense of the word—like how praying mantises eat their mate after copulating.
Even as I lost gallons of blood, I couldn’t help wondering how Dicken would react when his mind clears, only to find pieces of me before him.
