I slammed my necrotic, leaden left hand onto his chest. The cold of my dead flesh smothered the fire of his gold static. A jolt of energy shot up my shoulder, hammering into my sternum. I ignored the structural failure of my heart, grounding his static through my own failing pulse. I felt the crack in my soul then—a jagged heartbeat seeing Leo’s drain and Kael’s collapse. My heart staggered—a traitorous throb for the man who was physically rotting to be our floor. "Don't die on me yet, Blackwood," I hissed, my throat locking with a sudden, sharp pain. I hammered the mask back on. "They're breaking because they're scared. Let them break."

People aren't that scared of me but the beasts in me, my bloody vampire blood thirst, all he wanna do is kill, suck blood and bent all his frustration cause we didn't have a mate. Dokata the most fierce wolf ever known in the history of werewolves, well that was exactly what Drake my best friend told me, he happened to be a wizard and know a bit too much like Damon had said. He doesn't like him for that. Damon, Dokota and Don are the three beasts inside of me, but no matter what beware of Damon; the demon who originated from hell. *Yes Mate!* Don said in agreement to what Dokata had said.

Chelsea, Jessica and Jenny didn't even have the decency and manners to use "Please." But then again, she has to let it go, be patient, and just go on with it. "Great! Let me repeat your orders. One hot chocolate, one chamomile tea, and one espresso. Does that sound about right?" she asked, while smiling at them. "Yeah... By the way girls, it's my treat today. My Dad gave me a new black card for my birthday. Here, be careful because this my lifeline. If you do something wrong, you'll definetely pay for it." Chelsea said, in a bitchy tone.

Cass waited until the deadbolt clicked behind her before she set the envelope on her coffee table. The apartment was quiet—too quiet. Even the city’s usual hum seemed muffled through the rain streaking her windows. She sat, letting her fingers hover over the silver-inked initials. Whoever had sent this hadn’t just known her name—they’d known her real one. Not the polished, harmless Cass Blake everyone met in daylight. The flap opened without resistance. Inside was a single sheet of matte black paper, the message printed in faint grey type, like a whisper in ink:

Tears streamed down her face unchecked. For the first time, all Ryan felt was disgust. He flung her hand aside. "Get out!" After that, Olivia vanished from Ryan's world, but suspicion gnawed at him, driving him to dig into her secrets. What he uncovered made his blood run hot with rage. Olivia's so-called heart condition had been a fabrication from the very start. She had never been sick. She never needed my mother's kindness. Every word she spoke to them had been an act.

Gray walked past Adrian who called to his attention but he immediately brushed them off and walked to Leez. " How I missed you Leez," Mr Gray said as he kissed the back of her hands. Mr Gray was an internationally accredited films director having several production companies. Everything he touched turned into gold. He was also known to be single, having openly acknowledged that the woman he loved had been snatched by another man, but he was still hopeful for the day he'd get her back.

He heard his father resorted with frustration in his voice. “Dear, you shouldn’t be here. Go back to your room.” His mother hurriedly whispered when she noticed him listening to their conversation. “Wait, did you just say men in black?” Hyde resorted when he came back to his senses. His companion didn’t speak but answered him with a mere nod. “Oh, and one more thing, she also said that one of them has some kind of black bird tattoo on the neck.” Hyde was stunned when he heard about the tattoo. He’s certain, that the deceased man was one of them—or just a scapegoat.

Upon lifting my eyes to him, his lips just made its way to my lips. This is not the first time Parker made me feel this secured. This is not the first time his lips landed to mine and it gave me the same feeling I felt that day our lips met each other. The butterfly in my stomach, the abnormal throbbing of my heart and the sudden sweat my skin have been releasing. I think I finally found the answer. There's no reason to hide it anymore. This guy, named Parker Wingston is the same guy my heart is beating for. When our lips parted, both of our eyes were locked to each other. Parker smiled which caused me to make a soft chuckle.

As far as I know we are only forbidden to reveal our identity to them, thus I only show myself in disguise. I watched him sleep and every time he is trying to do something bad I try to kill the evil around him. The things are, there are too many evil around him. They love to feed on the bitterness that Harold has in the life he’d been with. The more he harbors it in his heart the stronger they become. We call them Eater, because they only grow when something unholy comes out of the man’s heart. They grow as human desire evil thoughts and even hide anger, lust or any of its kind. Whatever things that are not from the Lord the Eaters were being fed off.
