He nodded and took a deep breath. "Here goes." He sighed. "I, Elijah Black, Omega of the Midnight Pack, hereby cut all ties with the Midnight Pack and will become a Rogue." His face immediately contorted in pain and he put his hands on his head, groaning. I pressed my forehead against his and hoped that my presence might ease the pain a bit.

Caitlyn’s POV I could feel the pull of the Prime, pushing at me from all directions. I wasn’t sure how much longer I could hold on. The blackouts were getting more frequent, the connection to him stronger. It was as if the very earth was syncing with his heartbeat, and mine was following suit.

Shadow magic cracked through the air. Dark bolts of energy burst against the trees and rocks around us, scorching the edges of Zevarion’s cloak.
