Blackwood Campus Novels & Stories

“Say less Let’s go. Now.” The woods behind Blackwood University were nothing like the manicured paths near the dorms. Here, the trees grew so close together their branches served as a roof overhead, blocking out most of the sunlight. The ground was soft and the grass was wet and the air smelled damp earth and something different– something sharp and metallic, like iron or blood.

It seemed like a chessboard where all the pieces were finally in place. "Now," I said, "we rule." *** Monday morning at Blackwood University felt the same. It had been one week since everything changed. But kings and queens couldn't rule from a fortress forever, eventually, they had to walk among their subjects. The convoy rolled onto campus at 8:55 AM.

Blackwood. Finally, the moment arrived. Zeke moved to the center stage. The lights dimmed, focusing a spotlight on him as he tapped the microphone. The room instantly fell silent and everyone’s eyes made their way to where he stood with a small smile on his face, eager to hear his speech. “Good evening, Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for your extraordinary generosity tonight, the Blackwood family is forever in your debt.” He began, his voice amplified, filling every corner of the vast room.

"My older brother went to school here a few years ago, and he told me to stay far away from them. He said they are very dangerous and control the local police. The school administration never punishes them for anything because of their main donors." I frowned and looked at the tall pillars again. "Who are the main donors?" "The Blackwood family," Paige answered flatly. My heart skipped a beat, and my stomach tied itself into a tight knot. "They practically own the university," Paige continued, unaware of my internal panic. "Damien Blackwood funds all the major science and business programs, so his son and his son's friends get away with whatever they want on campus. They consider themselves

It’s not just about winning, but being able to participate and having fun all together. I took my seat amongst other guides at a table for the Blackwood family, and Camille sat at the other side with her mates, while oily was just playing around. “Good day, students of Mooncrest middle school.” A lady on stage spoke into the mic. “Today we’ll be having our first campfire of the session.” She continues. “We will all be learning from people of experience. Now please put your hands together as we welcome from the royal family... Alpha Damon Blackwood and Luna Elena Blackwood.”

Tasha glares at me one last time with her eyes full of hate then storms off and Ryan turns back to me completely calm again. “See you around, Elena.” And just like that he walks away leaving me standing there with a hundred eyes on me. *** I wander across campus later still dazed. What’s up with this guy? One minute he’s cold, the next he’s saving me or dumping his girlfriend right in front of me. The rumors about him swirl in my mind...students who crossed him and mysteriously left school, the whispers that his family covers things up. The Blackwoods own everything: the university, most of the real estate in town, even some of the local police. Ryan’s untouchable and now somehow, I’ve becom

Blackwood Foundation. My stomach did a full drop. I carried it back to the desk, hands already shaking, and ripped the seal open. I figured this was it. Scholarship yanked. Or some polite “keep your distance” note. Maybe even a bill for whatever mess they thought I caused at the Hemisphere event. But the first big word that jumped out was FELLOWSHIP. I read the sentence three times before it actually landed. The Blackwood Foundation was offering me their Undergraduate Medical Research Fellowship. For the Clinical Research Wing next semester. Based on my pre-med grades or whatever. Me.

"The break isn't an end. It's a new beginning. You've expressed the most complex emotions with the simplest lines. That kind of gift is priceless." I glanced at Marcus, who looked just as surprised as I felt. "Mr. Blackwood isn't just any customer," Marcus whispered to me. "He owns the Blackwood Gallery, over in the Artisan Quarter." Julian nodded. "The Blackwood Gallery. We specialize in art that creates a strong emotional connection." He paused, his expression growing more serious. "But honestly, we've hit a wall recently. The gallery is full of technically brilliant work, but we lack pieces that can truly touch the soul. Until today, when I saw this..."

I had not yet decided which. At eleven-oh-eight, Daniel texted: *Meeting started. He’s keeping it tight. No names yet.* I moved to the window. The Blackwood building had three exits. The main entrance on the east side, all glass and polished stone and the steady traffic of people who wanted to be seen arriving. The north exit for deliveries and maintenance. And the south exit, half-hidden by an architectural overhang, which opened onto a narrower street and was favored by people who needed a moment before the world got to them.

The bass from the speakers rattled Nova's ribs. She shouldn't be here. She knew she shouldn't be here. But Kira had shoved a red cup into her hand and said, "One party, Nova. One. You're eighteen, not eighty," and somehow that had been enough to get her through the iron gates of Wilder House — the most untouchable address at Blackwood University. The frat house smelled like cedar, musk, and something wilder underneath. Something that made the hairs on Nova's arms stand up.
