“Ah I see.” He turned the map toward me and began pointing. “There’s the Hollow Pines, they’re elusive but trade sometimes. Then there’s Greyridge, but they’ve let outsiders in now and then. Ironmaw too. But…” I waited, eyes tracking his finger as it hovered above a mountain range. All the packs and regions he was mentioning were familiar to me, I almost gave up when he said something that caught my attention. “…there’s Ashborne Claw.” “Never heard of it,” I muttered.

“Granted, it ain’t much but they call it home.” At this, the man she was hiding with growled. Roslyn pressed her fingers a bit firmer on his lips. Looking down at him, she saw he was fuming with rage. “We’d better get the fuck out of here before those god dammed Cherokees catch up to us,” Blade suggested. “I thought I saw they were on horseback. That would let them sneak up on us without being heard. They might take us being here as trespassing. If that’s the case, our bodies will never be found.” Blade started his bike and rode off.

"Papa? Where are the mountains? I can't hear the wind anymore." Kaelen didn't answer. He couldn't. He was staring at the horizon. I followed his gaze and felt my heart drop into my stomach. In the distance, floating miles above the grey desert, was the North. It looked like a jagged, bleeding wound in the sky. The entire mountain range, from the Widow's Peak to the Thorne Fortress, was suspended in a cage of violet energy. It was being pulled upward, slowly, toward the Great Shadow that loomed at the apex of the heavens, the Owner.

A gentle breeze rustled through the trees, flinging leaves from their limbs. The colourful flurries danced through the air as they fell around the man, driving an old jeep. It looks like a moat, but instead of water, it’s surrounded by small rock needles. It reminds me of the mountain in the movie Lord of the Rings with its foreboding veneer and spooky-looking rock moa

Gratefully, the girl blinks one of her eyes at the demon. She is so distracted by her own thoughts that she doesn't notice the changing landscape, or the steepness of the terrain getting steeper and harder to reach. As they make a turn to the left, Shandra finally notices. Perfectly visible, almost touching the skyline, is a huge mountain range. Tenebris.

"I promise. No one will hurt you while you are here." Mira studied her face for a long moment, and then she nodded slowly. "Okay," she said. "I trust you." The rogue turned to Kael. "Aldrian's weapon. It is called the Edge of the Blade. It was forged in the blood of a wolf-less woman who was sacrificed to the old magic. It can cut through anything. Even a white wolf." Lyra felt the moonstone grow warm against her chest. "And you know where it is?"

After sighing inwardly, Severin released his divine senses and flew directly towards the direction of the Second Mountain. The Second Mountain, also known as Sword Mountain, resembled a sharp sword thrust into the earth, with clouds billowing and rosy light enveloping the summit. The sword edge wasn't wide, it was only a few miles but extremely steep. It also has rugged and towering cliffs, as well as slippery precipices. Lush bushes grew between the cliffs, with white cranes circling and spiritual apes frolicking, their crow incessant. The white sea of clouds rolled in the middle of the sky, making the sword edge appear as if it stood between heaven and earth.
