BLADE 3. Pain. It was all I felt when I shot my eyes opened. I felt so sore and tired. The memories of how Lorenzo plunged deeper into me last night filled my mind. He was so cruel to me. I didn't find any enjoyment in it at all. I tried lifting my hands and I was happy It was back to functioning. My tit hurts too as a result of the sucking he did last night.

From these minuscule threads, I wove something grander—a hundred blades conjured from their essence. I did it! Raising my hands, I conjured the blades from the ground, as if plucking roots from the soil. The earth and rocks cracked open, yielding forth an arsenal of blades. With a gesture, a torrent of a hundred swords surged toward the unsuspecting foes. This was my reckoning! Despite Kenru and Killan's combined assault, most of Lady Montay's warriors stood resolute, untouched by the chaos they witnessed. They were likely legendary combatants, their might impervious to the combined force of Kenru, Killan, Borracho, and Rouma.

I can’t believe she was so thoughtful…even if she had agreed to train me I would have happily used whatever was readily available in the weapon storage for the army.

I went with silver and purple shades and instead of a royal cloak, I chose more of a traditional costume. It was a half-pleated cashmere kilt wound around the lower half of the body with a pleated section drawn to the front. The material was soft and flowed against my skin. For my shoulders and arms, I chose white fur. While a broad silver belt with our pack’s symbol engraved on it was to hold my costume together. The chest was to remain bare except for a large silver amulet. For my feet, I chose a pair of silver ankle-length sandals. My hair were perfectly braided with silver and purple ribbons to complete the look.

It took a little while, but eventually, Jax and I were able to find the clothing pieces needed to be Chaz Michael Michaels and Jimmy Mackelroy from "Blades of Glory." Jax wasn't thrilled about the tight fitting, red and orange onesie, but once he saw the two of us together in costume, even he couldn't deny that we looked downright hilarious. I could tell that Jax wasn't really into this whole costume thing, but honestly, it really warmed my heart that he was going along with it just to cheer me up. He didn't need to do any of what he was doing for me, strictly speaking as my bodygard. I got lucky with him.

So they knew everything up until how the old man and I knew each other. At the moment I was getting dressed in my uniform. Black bodysuit with gold on the arms and legs, paired with a black hooded cloak with gold accents. Don’t know why but all the time I got dressed in any of my uniforms I looked like a warrior from the medieval times. My hair cascaded down my back.

On the day of departure, the entire clan gathered near the main gate of the valley, standing in solemn silence. They did not cheer, they simply watched quietly as Rayden walked past them. He no longer wore his ascetic robes. He now wore the Shadow Ice Armor, a lightweight yet incredibly sturdy bluish-black leather armor capable of absorbing light and blending into shadows. At his waist hung the Frozen Moon Blade, a long, slender sword forged from eternal ice, radiating a biting cold.

Blood darkens his fur. He doesn’t make a sound. The cut doesn’t slow him. I duck under a snapping jaw and roll, coming up on one knee with my second blade already up. I strike again. Deeper. Cleaner. This is familiar. The burn in my arms. The narrowing of my vision. The way the rest of the world drops out when my body remembers what it’s for.
