Blades Of The Guardians Anime Novels & Stories

"If you want to save your loved ones, you need to know how to fight. They're brutal and you need to survive. If it was easy to fight them, Gwen and Mathew would've been enough but you all have roles to play that will lead you to your destiny so, fight!" Xander announced and flicked his fingers, separating all of them and grouping them accordingly in separate rings. Byul helped Xander and placed protective shields around each of them so that they won't destroy anything outside. From the shadows of the crater rim, figures rose. They weren't human anymore. They were desiccated corpses wearing armor from different eras—Medieval knights, World War soldiers, Ancient warriors. Their eyes glowed with the same purple light as the crystal. "The Guardians," Sebastian spat on the ground. "Previous generations who tried to control the power and failed. Now they are just puppets." "There are hundreds of them," Kael drew his sword (a retractable vibranium blade Alex made for him). "Circle formation!" Jackson commanded. "Protect Nova! We carve a path to the central bridge!"

The man's daughter, tiptoed as he bent over for her to reach Axe, her small fingers reaching out to touch Axe's bruised arm, whispered, "It's okay, mister. Papa will take care of you." ‘I came here to find a kid to raise into an indomitable bodyguard that will be loyal to you for life, and yet you chose such a weakling and useless thing?’ Chairman Blade thought, staring down at Axe and then at the worried way his daughter glanced at him, her tiny hand holding onto hid dirty ones as tears trickled down her peachy cheeks.

The familiar weight settled into his grip like an old companion. For a moment he stood perfectly still, letting the quiet settle around him. Then he began. The blade moved through the air in slow, controlled arcs. Steel cut through the morning mist. Again. Again. Again. Each motion was deliberate. Measured. His breathing fell naturally into rhythm with the movement of the sword. Training had always been the only place where Adrian’s mind truly quieted. The past faded. The memories of the borderlands, the hunts, the bloodshed—they all blurred into the background.

Axel, lift me. “Axel…run...werewolves,” I mumbled, trying to regain my balance. “What did you say?” A thunderous roar astounds us. I crawled, pulling Axel inside the weapon room. I rested a bit, blinking my eyes and shaking my head. “Erin, are you okay? What’s happening?” Axel palms my cheeks, shaking me. I nodded, but I was struggling to focus. “Axel!” a roar brings a chill to my bones. He’s here. We’re dead. It instantly clears my head. I took the silver weapons and gave some to Axel.

“Watch. Learn. Move with me. You are not alone.” Serenya exhaled shakily, letting Solana’s energy flow through her. The fear didn’t vanish, but it became a current she could ride instead of sink under. The Guardians struck. Koa lunged, teeth flashing in neon green, slamming toward her with lethal precision. Maggie’s wings unfurled above her, sending shockwaves of wind, claws slashing through the air. Athena circled low, swift and cunning. Nalia’s phoenix swooped in flames, feathers brushing sparks into her path. Isolde’s vampire form pressed forward with shadows that slithered like living darkness, eyes burning crimson.

I grip my blade tighter, heart racing. The trial shifts, shadow-beasts lunging from the void, claws of chaos slashing. I dodge, blade flashing, lunar mark flaring. Each strike tests my balance, light and shadow warring within. A vision hits—Veyra’s death, my fault. “You failed her,” the guardian taunts. Pain stabs my chest, but Theryn’s words echo. I slash a beast, voice raw. “I saved her soul.”

They serve as bodyguards and generals should the need rise yet they possess god-like skills in close-quarter combat. The Blade masters showcased their strength in battle, cleaving several soldiers at a time and their speed could even rival that of a sport’s vehicle. Though they wear light armor the Blade masters can take hits that would normally kill a person. With the path cleared the clan master and his bodyguards kneeled before their life-giver begging for forgiveness for their late arrival. He did not care for their tardiness yet he thanked them for answering his call was more than enough to make up for their boorish behavior.

“That thing is directly tied to the Rift. It’s stronger than anything we’ve faced so far.” The guardian stepped forward, its massive sword carving through the ground as it moved. Its voice rumbled like thunder. “You are unworthy. Turn back, or be consumed.” “We’re not turning back,” Alex said, stepping forward. The guardian raised its sword, pointing it at Alex. “Then you will fall, as all who came before you.” The ground shook as the guardian charged, its sword cleaving the air with terrifying speed. The Battle at the Edge The group scattered, narrowly avoiding the guardian’s first strike. The impact sent shockwaves through the ground, cracks spreading like spiderwebs beneath their feet.

I say, whipping out as fast as I can. He calls out behind me, but I’m already gone. I focus my mind on one thing and one thing alone, save my mate at all costs. I may no longer have the guardian bond to take his injury, but his death would also be mine because of our mate bond. Jacob intercepts me in the weapon room as I rummage for any type of blade that has the smallest semblance of balance to replace the ones that got left behind in the dungeons. “I have this for you.” He says, handing me four small throwing daggers and a decent-looking Katana.
