MY WILD OBSESSION
“To push me until I did something crazy?”
My pulse pounds with anger, my breathing uneven, but slowly it begins to settle.
I’m still burning with rage, my pulse hammering, my breaths sharp and uneven.
But seconds pass. His hold doesn’t loosen, and mine doesn’t break.
And slowly, against my own will, my breathing begins to steady. We stay like that for a moment too long, his body braced behind mine, my back against him, silence swallowing the room after all the noise.
Then he lets me go.
