Becca shivered "Becca, maybe you're just overthinking this whole thing. It couldn't be this...uhh...thick. Can it?" Bonnie asked unsurely "Okay, maybe I am. But I still ran out of there like a maniac. Hey, would you grab some milk, I need to quickly use the bathroom." Becca places Bonnie hand on the different types of milk and walked away. Bonnie sighed picking a milk carton and felt the writing on it. She sighed when she couldn't feel anything. When she turned around, she suddenly bumped into someone, the milk bursting open and spilling all over the person.

Layla continued to dig through her box. There were medical journals. Some of them had bookmarks in them. Layla turned one journal to a bookmarked page. The article was by Damien. She knew he had written a few articles for medical journals and magazines. She had asked to read them a few years ago, but he wouldn’t let her. He was too shy. Then again, he probably thought she wouldn’t be able to understand them. Most of what she skimmed looked like medical gibberish to her.

My reasoning is because I was focusing on finishing off high school, had to deal with graduation and family matters, and most of all I was unmotivated and I have been. Yes, I know it sounds like an excuse but I'd rather write Blinded when I'm motivated rather than write crappy chapters that I don't enjoy writing. So for the month of June, I'm going to take a break from writing, find some sort of motivation, and overall figure out what direction I want Blinded to go. So for right now, it is a goodbye unit next month. Sorry for the delay. -L.N.F

"Then open your eyes and look." I slammed the Enter key. In the next second, the office monitor lit up. So did the long row of electronic screens outside, the ones that usually displayed model students and honor roll lists. The corridor, loud as a marketplace moments earlier, fell silent. Everyone looked up. On the screen was my exam answer sheet. It was blank. Every section stood empty. In the essay box, drawn in thick black ink, was a huge turtle. Beside it, scrawled in wild, arrogant strokes: [What are you staring at? Never seen someone turn in a blank paper?]

Unlock it, and the empty pages shall be filled for you to read. I stare at the words for a long time. Read them again. And again. “What does that even mean,” I mutter under my breath. Within me. Unlock it. Empty pages. I flip to the next page. Blank. The one after that. Blank. I start flipping faster now. Page after page after page, all clean, untouched, mocking me with their silence. No hidden ink. No symbols. No diagrams. Nothing. Just white paper. My grip tightens on the book until my knuckles ache.
