A Mother's Final Portrait

A Mother's Final Portrait

I stood outside Yvonne's room, listening to my mother singing her to sleep. I kept hoping she would do the same for me for many, many nights. In some twisted sense, I suppose I finally got my wish. Odd, I… didn't feel happy at all. My mother cried her heart out when she came to the end of the rhyme. She hugged my body tightly. "I'm sorry, Jessica. I'm sorry! I should never have blamed you for your brother's death. I should never have blamed you for all the things that happened to me. I'm sorry… I'm so, so sorry. Please, come back to me…"

Between Mother and Daughter

Between Mother and Daughter

Who knew if Bryan minded the age gap? Plagued with insomnia that night, I grabbed a pillow to clip between my legs. I rode hard against the fabric to release the rush inside me. It didn’t take long for me to sink into bed in relief. I removed my soaked underwear and tossed it aside before heading to bed. The next morning, I woke up to Mom standing over me. I jolted up and exclaimed in fright. “Smack!” Mom slapped me across the face. The slap came out of nowhere, clearing my head from sleepiness.

Mother of the Moon

Mother of the Moon

He was trying to keep his voice level, but I could hear the confusion and frustration seeping into his words. “Well just now for one. But I have been many times throughout my life. Every time that Hank beat me, or every time that something bad happened at school, she would call me to her and comfort me. When I was a baby, she brought me food, rocked me to sleep and took care of me. And she sang to me, a lullaby, oh Gunner it is the most beautiful song I have ever heard, and her voice is magnificent. Can you believe it? I had a mother this whole time! Gunner, I wasn’t alone, Selene, or mother as I called her, she was there” “Woah, woah, woah! Zee slow down! Are you telling me that the Moon Go

Fantastic series, I can't wait to read book 3. The story is gripping, the characters are engaging, it's the type of story once you start you can't put it down. The author is extremely talented, you can tell she gives this her all. Thank you Kay Pearson, I can't wait to see what you do next :)

Mother

Mother

Her mother searched for her through the crowd while she watched in amusement, she rushed down immediately, pushing through the crowds and to her mother who she hadn’t seen in a while. Barb Goodman, who had been searching for her daughter saw her approaching with open hands trying to initiate a hug. She opened her hands immediately and pulled her daughter into a warm embrace, Arlene pulled away a bit, and her mum patted her fluttering hair to the side and tucked them at the back of her ear. Barb took her daughters handbag and swung it on her shoulder while they walked towards the car.

A Ruling Passion: Mr Tremont's Priceless Little Bride

“Whose dress is this? Did you want me to wear this and sleep in the same room with you?” Jackson glanced at her without commenting on her body. “It belongs to my mom.” As if she would believe something like that. “Don’t lie to me. How could this be your mom’s? Why would your mom wear this black lace slip dress? Are you joking?” He broke into laughter. “I don’t normally live here. My mom can wear whatever she wants without worrying about it. Moreover, she said it’s a gift from her best friend, and she has never worn it before. I’m sleeping on the floor, and you’re sleeping on the bed. I won’t be able to see anything even if you’re sleeping naked. That’s enough for now. I’m going to take a bat

So this isn’t really a book it is a Kdrama in print form. It never ends really. I like it but I dislike the way every sexual interaction between Mark and Arianne is described as marital rape. It really is ok for a wife to enjoy sex with her husband and the author could reflect that in their writing.

The Fallen Angel

The Fallen Angel

“Your mother has gifts?” Jake nodded. “You are the person I been praying for.” The fact that Jake thought Jasmine of being some savior made her uneasy. She wasn’t and didn’t even believe in her own gifts. They were more like a curse to her. Ones she was stuck with forever. Jake led her to the room where his mother laid in the hospice bed under a breathing tube and barely moving. “The doctors say she won’t make it past the week so I brought her home.”

THE BILLIONAIRE’S SINFUL TOUCH

THE BILLIONAIRE’S SINFUL TOUCH

Liam explained. “That is true, I guess” Jackson concurred. “So… we have to talk about your mother and her being such a total… forgive me for saying this but…” “Bitch?” Jackson interrupted, chuckling. He knew of course that his mother was somehow going to pose as an obstacle to this father’s burial and the only reason he was letting her get away with this was because she had too much information about their family and one that could ruin them if they were not careful.

The Mafia’s heir’s bride

The Mafia’s heir’s bride

A grand villa loomed ahead, and just as they were about to approach, the front door opened. Bianca stepped out. Jackson froze. His mother's breath caught..... This wasn't just any woman.... They knew her. Not from the news, not from gossip, but from their own past. A past they thought was actually buried. Bianca's eyes locked with theirs, and for a brief second, something unspoken passed between them. Bianca is jackson's real mother..... Bianca's gaze hardened, her tone dripping with ice. "You know what?" she said, taking a step closer, her perfume thick in the air. "I don't need either of you in my life. Not now. Not ever."
