*Is he back too? Her thoughts shatter when Travis hisses in pain. He stares down at his bleeding finger, surprise flashing across his face, as if he doesn’t understand how he ended up here. He looks at the soup, the sliced oranges, and then at her. His confusion deepens, his brows drawing together. Dawn leans against the doorframe, her gaze fixed on him. “Some habits never change, even after time traveling.” The sound of the knife clattering to the floor makes her jump. But what truly startles her is the expression on Travis’s face. He looks at her like he’s seen a ghost.

Blindly, I reached for Alee's hands and said, “Sicut in visual, apparent uterque mentis et corporis ad destinatum visual.” It took effect immediately. We were off from the ground and I held onto Alee and Mason, transferring my power to them in order to keep them within the spheres of distance and time. It didn't take a second but we were in the forest in no time. Alee crumbled to the floor and said, “I feel like my legs are made of jelly. Minty, my brain's mushy. I'm not traveling through teleportation again.” Mason seemed stronger than I imagined he would be. He didn't react to the time travel. Instead, he bent down and held Alee, trying to console her or whatever he was doing.
