Weaver was about to give chase but was stopped by Alex, who gently bit down on his tail. "Do not give chase." Alex said firmly and Weaver pulled his ears to his head but nodded while looking into the direction the red blur had run in.

"Gwyneth, did I ever mention that you're as good as dead once I'm out?" Gwyneth winced as the blood from her right cheek ran down her face and dripped onto her pants. She looked around and saw no high-rises in sight. They had to be in the suburbs. "Let me go, and I'll forget what happened today," she said. Liana sneered and pressed the knife against Gwyneth's throat. "You've finally landed in my hands. Do you really think I'll just let you go? How about a little game?"

“No, she’s reached the limit where it’s safe. If we take more, she could go into shock. I grabbed the broom and, finding sudden strength, rammed my foot into the wooden handle, breaking it in half.

"Bleach was never a pawn in this game. It is unstable and relentless, do well to remember we can not make an enemy out of it." The girl smirked. "Do not be foolish, we already did when we chose to pursue that artifact….. My love."

In order to keep the world running as it should, no one could know how it all worked. There were plenty of rumors, but no one ever bothered to find out.
