And then, as they watched, darkness bled across its surface.
An eclipse.
The hall erupted with howls, and Axel snarled orders, trying to steady the panic, but Raven’s knees buckled. The hum became a roar as she collapsed.
She landed on a vast expanse of black glass. It stretched endlessly beneath her feet, reflecting the hollow sky above. In that sky, no stars shone, only a fractured, bleeding moon.
And in the distance, chained to pillars of obsidian, was the Hollow Blade.
