‘Come on Blue, I really do want to see you again. He shivered as he felt goosebumps crawl towards his skin at the thought. “No, no,” he immediately snapped out of it and squeezed the hoodie. “No.” He needed to get rid of the hoodie. He looked around him for a scissors or anything he could use to successfully get rid of it and on seeing none, he groaned and simple shoved it into the wastebasket by a corner of his room. “This is a chance to start all over again,” he said to himself as he glanced at the hoodie in the wastebasket. “A new beginning.”

The scream that left my lips was bloodcurdling. I stare at my reflection in horror and almost have the urge to cry. My hair is no longer a fair shade of strawberry blonde but a creamy chocolate brown, my natural hair colour. Oh, shit, shit, shit! I grabbed my bottle of shampoo and dumped its contents into the sink; it wasn’t shampoo. It was bleach. Fuck! How did bleach get in here? Someone must have poured bleach into this bottle, and Kiara was the only one in the room. My blood boiled in such a way that I was certain my skin was turning a bright shade of red. I storm out of the bathroom, but I am met by no one in our room.

Lance asked, following me down to the hospital as we spoke. “It’s not something that you will understand if I explain with words,” I said nervously. The image of his drawer flashed in my head again and my smile got brighter. “Try me,” he insisted. “Okay, he poured bleach on his mate’s clothes. Trying to fix his mess and entire problem he went online to look for a solution and he saw where they asked him to use soda. Then he poured soda all over his drawer,” I said it all in one breath. Lance took a second to comprehend but then he said, “What?!”

I stopped, hesitantly and turned to look at him. "Miller," I mumbled, my eyes narrowing slightly. "What can I possibly do to assist you?" He looked at me for a moment, a grin etching its way onto his face. He was amused by the frustration he could see hiding behind my eyes. "Well, that's just it—you're my new tutor, Bloom." Oh, hell.

I looked over at Blake as he pulled his sweatpants up, his back decorated with new marks and some of them cut deep enough that they were starting to bleed, "I really think I should trim my nails." Everybody has gone, even the rest of the guards. A car horn startles me and I quicken my attempts at searching for where the bleach is kept. I walk into the kitchen and I look around frantically. I see a small door and I jog towards it and open it. Bingo! There are shelves of soap, disinfectants, other products, but most importantly, bleach! I grab the small gallon of bleach and I jog back out of the kitchen quickly. As I walk through the living room so I can go upstairs and prepare the syringe, I spot Robert talking to someone at the entrance of the house.
