El stifled a groan and turned to Lucas, who looked utterly mortified. "Right, back to class, folks!" The Principle shuffled his chair back as he stood, vaguely gesturing with one arm. They filed out of the office into the main hallway, where the magnolia paint was peeling off the walls in places, revealing a pale green underneath. "Psychiatric green", El had once told her, thought to be a calming colour. Lucas took off down the hall, slamming a locker door as he went. "Well, that's just great," El grumbled.

The city of the "Real World" was no longer a place of neon and commerce; it was a "Static Zone." As the "High Elder Vessels" descended from the bruised purple sky, the vibrant colors of the North—the gold of Silas, the violet of Lyra, and the iridescent starlight of Kaelen—began to "wash out." It was a "Bleaching" of the soul, a systematic removal of the "Biological Contrast" that made them real.

Hail curiously asked. Reyan looked at him. “A world, that is – '' he looked at Blue. Blue was taken aback, before he understood. “Her world also suffered an apocalypse?” he said. “Yes.” Reyan nodded in affirmation. Apocalypse. The end of the world. “It’s alright.” Kulv whispered to Blue as he comforted the other. “I am fine.” Blue said and smiled. He has already moved on from his past. Kulv sighed in relief after he saw that Blue really was fine. Then, he turned to Reyan. “What kind of apocalypse did the witch’s world go through?” he asked.

It might not be enough to kill him, but it would be more than capable of inflicting pain on him. “But as I’ve said, it doesn’t matter anymore. This world shall know total annihilation, and you’ll be the sole witness of what’s to come.” Then there was a rumbling sound, as though giants were roaming among the land, pounding their thick feet, followed by a long streak of purple light. A bitter smile curved her lips. A thousand spears quite the same as the one that struck Blame appeared from Dark’s swirling shadow. Her breathing was starting to be unstable, her body becoming numb as the wind became colder.

Hennesey asked. “Tich, tich, no. This is not a bioweapon but a place beyond Earth. I call it the Small World; you see, there is a problem when it comes to noncultivators trying to live in this environment. They can’t; you are witnessing the outcome of trying to enter where you should never venture.” Blake explained and rose from his seat. “Come, we need to leave the facility so you can appreciate the gift I bestowed on your Alliance.”

In return, she giggled as her palm covered her lips that looks naturally wet, with moist similar to a morning dew. “The fur that as white as a snow, and eyes that looks like a deep blue ocean . . . ” I smelled menace in the awe drawn on her face. “So strange. Really strange.” The way she speaks, it sounds like a mad scientist who just got her favorite subject of experiment. “And every strange thing belongs to a strange person, Devon Hamian.”

A blast of frigid air rose from the cellar, smelling of mold and rot. Apparently Erich couldn't leave him now either. The blade of the Gladius gleamed faintly in the hand whose knuckles had turned white from the force with which he gripped the hilt. They were in this together until the end of the investigation they were conducting, until they came up with a resolution known only to the gods.

With a piercing scream, Christina lunged forward, but the bodyguards held her down firmly. Just then, the door to the ward swung open. Zoe stood there in a hospital gown, her face pale and drawn. Her voice was barely more than a whisper. "Mom, what will it take for you to finally let me go?" The moment Christina saw her, she barked, "Zoe, get over here! You're coming home with me! Stop pretending you're sick!"

Don’t take the bait. “I'll leave soon,” Bradley said afterwards, his voice restrained. “But before that, I want to see Eirene.” Chloe raised an eyebrow. “See her?” she asked, folding her arms across her chest. Her tone sharpened. “Did our dear little sister end up in hospital again and need Eirene’s blood for the umpteenth time?” Bradley’s face flushed instantly. He didn’t answer—he couldn't. Sabrina shot Bradley a quick glance, then turned to Chloe. “Judging by his expression, it looks like you’re right, Chloe.”

‘I will make every last one of you pay! She climbed out and dried her body leaving the once-white towel red. Alice bandaged her wounds and dressed in the same clothes. She looked at herself in the mirror. The person staring back at her looked depleted. Who was this person? Every time she looked at herself, a stranger stared back at her. Her eyes held no life in them, only an empty shell stared back. She felt sorry for the girl in the mirror. Why can’t this person just get a break? Why does this world hate her so much that it not only tramples on her but pulls her apart?
