The humans were not so lucky.
One by one, their eyes, ears, noses, and mouths began to bleed. Their brains exploded inside their skulls. The fighting stopped instantly.
As my scream faded, a hand reached down—Caden’s.
“Time to finish this, Baylee,” he whispered.
He pulled me up, wrapping one arm around my shoulders and gripping my hand tight. Together, we walked toward the man in the suit.
