Blink Twice Warnings Novels & Stories

And werewolves were bound to bite you in the neck. And those twin princes are not? My conscience pricked, and I closed my eyes tight, briefly, shaking my head. What mattered now was that there was hope for Diane. I would not lose my only family. That was enough. “Will this do?” Gisele's eyes narrowed. She must have sensed the resolve in my voice and known that I wasn't going to spill a word. That was enough. “No,” She sniffed, reaching for the flower with trembling hands, “It will not. We'll need hundreds of these. But it should be enough to revive her,”

I could hardly tell the difference between reality and the residual visions vibrating in my head. Ping! A bright, intrusive system notification manifested right in front of my face, flashing a harsh, glowing yellow warning: [Warning: Overuse of Foresight (Level 1) detected. Excess usage will cause severe neural strain and mental hemorrhaging to the Host. It is highly recommended to refrain from using the skill more than 10 times a day.]

He forced the panel again. Manual override. The system flickered. Resisted. Then— partially responded. The lock disengaged halfway. Then froze. A new warning flashed. Brighter. More urgent. Subject instability detected. Silas’s eyes widened. “What does that mean…” Evelyn’s heart pounded harder. “It’s okay,” she said quickly. “We’re right here.” But the system didn’t care about reassurance. The monitors spiked again. Beep— beep— beep— Faster.

I had carried it for seven cruel months, so what if he decides to pour his anger on us? My fear intensified when the watch on my wrist began blinking red. I could remember Ryan telling me a few things about the watch before he gave it to me. He said if it began blinking red, it means danger, or whoever I was with is dangerous. If it's blinking red and black, whoever I was with has evil intentions towards me, but if it isn't blinking at all, it's fine, whoever I was with doesn't care about me. If it's blinking blue and red, whoever it was with is in love with me. My mate was deeply in love with me, because my watch always blinks blue and green whenever I was around him.

My reasoning is because I was focusing on finishing off high school, had to deal with graduation and family matters, and most of all I was unmotivated and I have been. Yes, I know it sounds like an excuse but I'd rather write Blinded when I'm motivated rather than write crappy chapters that I don't enjoy writing. So for the month of June, I'm going to take a break from writing, find some sort of motivation, and overall figure out what direction I want Blinded to go. So for right now, it is a goodbye unit next month. Sorry for the delay. -L.N.F

“Well, well, well. What do we have here?” Beck muttered, his brows raising almost to his hairline as he took in the multiple blinking warning lights on his monitors. He reached his desk and tapped the space bar on his main terminal, and immediately, the red warning banners from the night before flooded the monitors, reflecting in the glass of his spectacles. ALERT: SYSTEM PERSISTENCE DETECTED. SECONDARY BREACH ATTEMPTS IN PROGRESS… STATUS: THREAT NEUTRALIZED… FIREWALL WEAKENED.

Warning symbols flashed across the screen. SYSTEM FAILURE DETECTED CONNECTION LOST DATA BREACH WARNING The cheerful faces in the crowd turned pale in seconds.

he said, smirking. I blinked and took in the bush around us. And fuck, it was a sight I hated. Because of them, what I associated it with. Pain, destruction, death. The worst kind of danger. Nothing worse than a witch or warlock with 24/7 PMS and unpredictable mood swings, but a coven full of them? Convinced they can do and say whatever the hell they want? No fucking thanks. I wouldn’t piss on a one of them if they were on fire.

The system gave a sharp, electronic beep, the screen went black for a microsecond, and then the text returned, pulsing even faster than before. WARNING. WARNING. WARNING. "It's looping," Elara said, her voice tight with a sudden, rising panic. She leaned over the counter, her eyes reflecting the aggressive, flashing amber text. "Why is it just saying warning? Is it encrypted? Or is there a physical lock on the hardware?"

--- Lap eight something changed. Not in the race. In the system. It appeared in her peripheral vision the way it sometimes did when it had something urgent, not the standard notification format but a different presentation, raw text without the usual borders, like something bypassing its own formatting to deliver information faster. [WARNING] [ANOMALY DETECTED IN RACE FIELD] [SOURCE: UNKNOWN] [NATURE: UNKNOWN] [RECOMMENDATION: MAINTAIN AWARENESS] She nearly missed a braking point.
