“Any time, any day, Thomas. I’d love to see you try it.” Before I can respond, our food arrives and it looks so good my mouth immediately begins to water. We thank the waitress before digging in, and I’m so enraptured in the perfection that is this burger that I don’t even realize Noah has paused, waiting for my reaction. “Oh my God,” I mumble, closing my eyes. Noah Baringer was definitely not lying about these burgers. If nothing else comes of this date, I at least know where to find the best ones I’ve ever had in my life. When I open my eyes, I see him grinning at me.

All pregnancy, I had been craving a thick, greasy burger, but nothing had hit the spot, much to Alex’s chef’s irritation. Looking at the burger in front of me, I knew it was exactly what I had needed. “You know, it’s funny.” Alex started as I picked up a fry and moaned as the salty, oil-crisped potato touched my tongue.

I spoke through the mic of the drive-through headset. "Ah yeah, can I please have one of your Sneakz Classic Sizzle Steak Burgers?" A woman's voice came back through the headset's earpiece. "Sure can. Which sauce would you like on your Sneakz Classic Steak Burger?" I replied.

“Thank you, Ally. And to you Eldrith, I might have been where I would have been if you had not been there earlier.” “You are our friend so it's only natural.” Atasha smiled because of what she said and they looked at the door when Eldrith entered. Atasha immediately smelled the burger that he bought at Jvllibee which made her smile big. “Wow!! The smell of the burger! I am so hungry!” They laughed at Atasha's reaction and Eldrith immediately gave the burgers and a gallon of ice cream. “Thank you!” Atasha immediately opened the plastic and opened the Ice Cream first and then followed the burger. She took a bite of the burger and even gulped because of the taste.

“Here you go. I put the appetizer order in, as well. Did you ladies want to order entrees?” Blaze ordered a burger and Brynn ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap. Amerie decided on the California burger. Tristan jotted down the orders and let them know he’d be back with their entrees. Amerie took a sip of her margarita. The fresh jalapeño perfectly complemented the peach and tequila. She eyed Blaze’s purple drink. “What is that?”

He pulled out a plastic container containing some sort of food from behind him and stretched it to me. “What’s that?” I asked without collecting it from him. “Burger, chicken, and potato chips." He replied with an outstretched hand. I reluctantly took it and carefully opened it. The delicious smell made me salivate. I grabbed the burger in my hand and took a glance at Axton, who nodded at me to go ahead and have a bite. With a deep exhale, I bit into the burger. The sweet sensation rolled over my tongue, leaving me groaning from satisfaction. I chewed slowly, savoring every deliciousness it held. I noticed Axton watching me with an amused expression, which resulted in an eye roll from me.

I soon became lost in the plastic covered menu that our hostess had provided. I had to admit that all the burgers sounded delicious. There were a variety of toppings available including jalapenos, mushrooms, and even fried eggs. Soon an older plump lady came over in a pink apron asking if we were ready to order as she poured Tobias and I a glass of ice water. Tobias ordered the farmers special, and I ordered a mushroom burger with pepper jack cheese, and cheese fries on the side. Before our meal could come, I could hear the distant roar of motorcycles and I tensed up. How could Vex have found me already?

“I want to eat the best burger in Janloon. Do you know which one it is, Mr. Terran?” Absalom was taken aback. “Don’t you want to remarry me? I'll give you this chance if you can buy me the most delicious burger.” Absalom’s expression changed slightly. He thought he was hearing things when he heard Harmonia’s sudden words. “You're giving me a chance?” It was the first time in his life that he felt the sensation of being both shocked and delighted.

I said, hatching a plan to get what I want from Jake. “However, when we got to the store, the manager claimed there are no surveillance cameras in the shop so we couldn't get more information” “Burger shop?” Jane asked, looking surprised. “Yes, it's called tasty burgers. Have you been there?” “No, I haven't, have you baby?” Jane asked, turning to look at Jake who was now lost in his thoughts. “Uhm, No, no, not at all. I have never even noticed the stop” Jake said, smiling faintly.
