Novel & Cerita Block Island To Montauk Ferry

The GPS on my phone told me to take a right onto Vista Drive. I pulled over and looked at it again, just to make sure that I had typed in the address correctly. There was no way that this was the right Vista Drive. This is weird, I thought. There has to be something wrong. I had been driving for twenty minutes, following the directions to the address that Gabe had given me to come visit him at his home. My GPS had led me to the bridge that connected to one of the islands just outside of Miami, but there was no way this was the right bridge.

Kalb spoke, obviously in charge of this portion of the project. I could see I had a lot to learn. I was grateful to be surrounded by knowledgeable werecats to teach me. I never expected this on my very first night as Alpha. “So what is happening at the ferry?” I asked. “The ferry can only be accessed by werecats. There can be no humans on this island. Last week, two humans managed to get across. I wonder if that’s the port my family used to come here or if they took a roundabout route. A train travels from the village to Port Westerly twice a day. Shaking my head to clear it, my eyes travel back over the map and land on the island of Rudak. It’s not that far from Maatua at all. I think, if the sea were calm, a person could make that voyage in a small boat. I wonder if that’s what Aunt Mary did to mail the letter.

Forty minutes later we drove onto the ferry that took us to Middle Bass Island. I took my first airplane flight a few days ago and now I was taking my first ferry ride. What an adventure. We left the ferry and Joel drove a little while longer before pulling onto a well-maintained unpaved lane.

But now I trust him with my life! We end up pulling up to the ferry doc, heading to Bainbridge Island. I had no idea when he decided we were headed to the island, but it sounded pretty safe to me. No one should be looking to us over there. And I heard it's pretty cute. The ride isn't very long, but we park his bike and walk up to the observation deck. The scent of the ocean spray hits the air. Sea gulls circle the air, looking like the scavengers they are. The sun shimmers over the turbulent waters, but I'm not scared.

With a creak, the gate swung inward. They traveled the road, barely wide enough for the car, cocooned by a stone wall on Mara's side and a steep hill on Kaida's. A short distance, and they turned right onto another path that bisected the land. Good thing she wasn't claustrophobic. The incline was gradual, but the longer they drove, the more pressure built in her ears. Being off the coast of Massachusetts, the island got its share of weather, just like the mainland. This road must be a bitch to clear in winter.
