Zara screamed, lunging for the phone, tears of absolute terror violently erupting from her eyes. "If you attempt to track this signal, we execute him," the mercenary warned coldly. "Wait for our instructions. Welcome to the new world order, Aegis." The screen went black.

Staring down at their shivering spine, Leo's eyes reeked of anger, the threatening impulse of his gaze bustling through the reek of blood and sweat, thrilling down his face. His eyes sat darkened like shady night clouds, dragged through a moonless starless night, his fist clenched over a blood stained riffle, while his nostrils fumed heated air out to the open. “Please don't hurt me” Leo listened to the shivering pleas of his advasary, staring closely for just a moment before he shot through their thick skull, pulling the bodies to the ground, whilst their blos splattered through the open floor slowly forming into.a broadened stream.

They were blind and cut off. Leo stood in the doorway, bleeding, massive, and silhouetted against the smoggy sky. He looked like a demon of the Undercity. "Drop the rifles," Leo commanded, his voice rumbling through the cramped metal interior. "Drop the armor. Step out. Or I let the guy with the blowtorch have his turn." For a long, agonizing second, the Blackwatch squad leader hesitated, his finger tight on the trigger of his rifle. He looked at the giant blocking the exit, and then at the hundreds of screaming, armed Ironheads surrounding the vehicle.

Kaelen’s black eyes flared with a lethal intensity. "The Little Lion wants a toy?" the entity hissed. A spike of obsidian ice erupted from the pool, impaling Leo’s shoulder. He let out a scream of pure agony, the daggers falling from his hands as he was hoisted three feet off the ground, pinned to the ice-spike. "LEO!" The scream ripped from my throat, and with it, the Balance finally broke.

Leo said, triggering what seemed like a resurgence of Zade's anger, evident from his tight grip on the baseball bat and his tense jaw. "Stop your nonsense because it's useless for someone who I'm about to finish off," Zade said, advancing again, then swinging his bat. But this time, Leo managed to dodge. Leo then swiftly stood his ground to counter Zade's attacks, while Alana dragged her injured leg to grab something nearby to use as a shield. Seeing Leo trying to fight against Zade, who seemed completely out of control, it appeared that Zade was truly angered by the reality Leo had just spoken.

There were so many that they could pass for an army of soldiers. Snarls and yells of anger went round the clearing, blood spilled to the ground and soon enough, the clearing turned into a real battleground. At that moment, all that it took me to assume focus and block the attack from the three rogues that pounced on me at once was the image of Leo taking Selene away. He didn't look at it with a child's wonder. He looked at it as a key.

He barked like a bulldog and fired twice. The violet field groaned, flickering and sparking as the two frequencies fought for dominance. ​"Six seconds!" Maya gasped, her nose beginning to bleed from the strain. ​Leo stepped forward. He didn't use a bomb. He used his arm.
