Damien turns to stare at me, “After everything that has happened, is that still a question you have to ask me?” My blood turns cold and I feel something snap like a rubber band inside of me. “The elves.” This time there is no flare of pain in my head. The march south began at dawn, five hundred half-bloods moving through the forest like a river of fur and claws. Elif led from the front, her white wolf form stark against the dark trees, her blue eyes scanning the horizon for threats. Niklas ran beside her, black fur blending with the shadows, his amber eyes watchful and calm. Behind them stretched the army, wolves of every color and size, their breath misting in the cold air, their paws silent on the fallen leaves. They were not soldiers, not yet. But they were learning.

In the early morning sun, Elaine could still see Andrew's grin as he left her in the shadows of the night. “You idiot,” The knight murmured, fingering the bright gold letters of the book, thinking she should have let him kiss her for what he’d done. Eyes scanned the countless names and gifts of fire, ice, and even wind. Some could speak into minds, and those who were so powerful they could bring down kingdoms or even end the 200’s year war.

As time passed these elves became known as grim elves and their brothers in Velas the bright elves. East of Velas was Malfer, a land that stretched from the far south to the far north and was inhabited by a race known as humans. People there were not as tall and beautiful as elves, they did not have powerful weapons of hardened silver or cities that stretched high into the sky, but they had a determination that no other race had. Their homes were modest and small, grouped together for better protection from the beasts lurking around.

If there wasn't, then what was in there? To strengthen this theory, for some unknown reason, the devils, the ones that invaded the continent once in a hundred years, avoided the small island. The Halen Empire was situated on the westernmost part of the Larin Continent. On the other side of the Halen Sea was the continent of the elves. They were at the edge of the array that protected the Larin Continent from the invasion of the devils, and yet these devils refused to go to the small island. They would only conquer the other islands surrounding them. Why was that? That was also one of the mysteries in there.

She said that Elves actually only have two main advantages over humans, namely their longevity and their sensitivity to energy. Mana, energy from earth and nature, and Aura, energy from living beings. Elves could feel every energy clearly, and even many could see them directly with their naked eyes. Because of that, the Dark Elves of the Western Continent became a reclusive clan that was famous for their magic, while the Elves of the great forest of the Euclase Continent became a reclusive clan that was famous for their Aura manipulation. However, because of their long lifespan, and their love for nature and pure energy itself, they refused to meddle in the affairs of other beings.

That is why I immediately removed my hand from it. “Ahhh!!!” I heard a scream from below from the lost souls who are gently fading like my dad. Most of them burned and turned into orbs. Different kinds of orbs with different colors. I know in an instant that they will be stuck here on earth. As a ball of energy that can be consumed by humans. That can make the world imbalanced.

300 years ago, Elves were one. There was no variation of elves, they weren't divided. All these beautiful creatures were united and one. They were a powerful race that even the Demons could not ignore. These beautiful creatures were guarding the sacred tree of life. The root of all life, the heart of the Goddess of life.
