There were no longer any blood wolves, just me. The door creaked and for the first time, the door opened. I lazily turned my head to the side and looked at the door. A man walked in with another man a few steps behind him. The first man was older with a white beard, short white hair, and deep red eyes. The other man was slimmer, taller with lavender eyes, amber eyes and scarlet hair. They were both dressed the same way but with different colours. They wore wool tunics over leather breeches and calf-length boots. What gave them away was the pointy ears and grey skin. Dark elves.

she murmured, stepping back. More of the newly embodied dead emerged from the ruins, circling Eden and Violet. Their mouths curled open showing their fangs. Hunger gripped each one, pulling them toward the king and bodyguard with impenetrable focus. "They're all blood elves," Eden realized. "He must've turned everyone in Toreva before planting the dead inside." "Their hunger will be insatiable," Violet said, bow drawn and ready. As horror rolled through her, the living dead drew near. Blood smeared their bodies and mouths. There was nothing left of who they used to be. This was the fate Curzon intended for all of the elven kingdoms.

I, Anno, clutched a bag of deer meat damp with dew as I walked along the streets of the elven town, the burning pain from the wolf’s claws still lingering on my right cheek from last night. Whispers followed me all the way. “It’s her—that defective elf with a broken wing, and she’s even keeping a tamed werewolf.” “It’s laughable. That werewolf doesn’t even look at her. He’s always trying to run away, but she still treats him like a precious treasure.”

They revealed themselves at midday. Two figures stepped out from behind a cluster of boulders. They were tall and slender, their skin the color of ash, their hair white as bone. Dark elves. Their eyes were solid black, no whites, no pupils, just darkness that seemed to drink the light. They wore leather armor studded with metal spikes, and each carried a curved blade at their hip. The taller one smiled. His teeth were sharp. "Travelers," he said. His voice was smooth, almost musical. "What brings you so close to our border?"

"Not really, I just feel bad for her. I can really see that she loves Elijah" "But he is not her mate so he cannot marry her. She should have seen this coming.
