Blood Rain 2 Novels & Stories

I didn’t need a blueprint. I just needed to follow the sound of the hearts I was protecting. THE END OF BLOOD AND BETRAYAL

Diana’s POV Blood. That was all I could see. The Sovereign’s mouth was clamped on the boy’s throat, his fangs buried deep, lips slick with crimson. The boy’s body dangled lifeless in his grip like a discarded rag doll. Blood streamed in rivulets, mingling with the storm, painting the rooftop tiles in diluted streaks of red, like wine bleeding into water, staining everything it touched. The rain couldn’t wash the horror away. It only spread it, painting the rooftop in streaks of diluted red.

* We drop in. The Court joins. It’s chaos. Beautiful, perfect, ours. I activate **Blood Rain**—gentle mode first. Violet drops fall upward from my palms, spiraling around the park like reverse snow. Healing mist. Everyone’s minor scratches (from yesterday’s over-enthusiastic spar) vanish. Seras laughs as her armor regenerates a dent she got from Lucian’s tail. Lucian roars approval, wings flaring. Kayo flips through the rain, tails glowing brighter, foxfire mixing with blood droplets into pink-violet fireworks.

Blood dripped on the carpet—dark red splatters that soaked in fast. The game wasn’t bloodier now. It's becoming personal. As it was before.

Without saying a word she opens the door allowing a boy to walk in and my breath nearly catches in my throat when his blue eyes land on me. Jaxson Ravenwood. Classmate, shifter, and future Alpha of the North American pack. His white blonde hair falls messily over his icy blue eyes. He's more muscular than your average shifter and even I can't help but admire him. she nagged at him for a few minutes about the last time he had the same nightmare. Michael stopped listening to Alba after a few seconds as he looked at the twins and gave them a gesture that let them know that they could leave. As Alba spoke to him, he recalled the last time his nightmare was triggered. It was after he accidentally killed an innocent man while he had a shootout with an enemy on his way to the gym. The man was a barber who was walking along the side of the road and he was the one who was hit by the bullet when the guy that Michael was supposed to shoot was able to evade the bullet.

I transform and I look at her pleading eyes as she croaks, “Goddamn it.” My body moves on its own as I fall into a squat, reach forward, and snap her neck. She goes still, and my chest quickly rises and falls as the rain soaks my shirt, my shorts, my hair. I blink the water out of my eyes as I’m brought back to life. I take a second look at Brea, I raise my trembling hands out in front of me. I killed her. My jaws release and my mouth falls open. I scream. - Riven

The little bit of money I had scraped together, paid for with endless nights and cracked, bleeding hands, meant less to them than one of my brother's hobbies. Brian sat nearby, playing video games. When he heard that, he looked up and shouted, "Yeah! Dad's right! You're not getting in anyway. Might as well give me the money!" I looked at the two of them, at their perfectly reasonable expressions, and felt my stomach churn. I did not cry. I did not argue. I knew tears were the cheapest thing in that house. It was worth nothing. I kept quiet. I just picked up a broom and started sweeping the shells scattered all over the floor.

Then the vision becomes blurry. A mirror reflecting the face of a man. A sedan car driving in the rain. Blood dripping from a neck cut. I open my eyes wide suddenly. I know who the throat slasher will kill next.

shape, vein pulsating in my head. The sky had turned red. Rain fell thick and heavy—more like blood than water. Soldier cries rose and fell like waves as bodies collapsed across the battlefield. “Scarlet, stay with me.” I pleaded, watching blood pour from her side. “And why the—why aren’t you healing?” I snarled at the sky, pain tearing through me. My tears tasted of iron; the world around us kept dying. “Hey.” She reached for my hand, voice weak but urgent, pulling me back as I tried to lunge.
