We drive through the pack, the soft moonlight gives everything such a picturesque view. Shadow Moon is indeed outstanding, the spatial planning is excellent. The residential centers are separated from the lively catering industry, probably to prevent noise nuisance. Everything is orderly and maintained as I already noted when we entered the pack.

Dragon aura was bright, and the shadows were in the dark. Was the power of light the only way to kill these Shadow Men?

"Moonbound, this is your real test. Everything will end tonight if you don't fully awaken the next species of the Silver Heart." It was like a storm of chains and light came out of me when I took a big breath. The Shadowed Moon moved back, and the liquid silver lit up like it knew I was now in charge. I was scared and my chest hurt, but my will was stronger than my fear. I was going to the moon. I would stay alive. The Shadowed Moon was bigger, darker, and smarter than ever when it pulsed again. I was sure of one scary fact: It was just starting to take shape.

Whatever made her feel this uneasy, she desperately wished the moon goddess could grant her memories of it. Beneath the music and laughter, fate was quietly setting something in motion... and this is the beginning of betrayal under the moonlight.

"The bridge is built. Now, the King comes home." Rhea felt her bond with Ash flare. It was a scream of warning. She felt Lucien’s anchor. It was the only thing keeping her from falling. "Who are you?" Rhea asked. Her voice was a small, fragile thing in the vast dark. The shadow reached out a hand. It was made of obsidian and bone. "I am the one your mother feared. I am the reason she hid the journal. I am the Shadow of the Moon." Rhea looked at Ash. She looked at Lucien. They were both frozen. They were both powerless against the thing in front of them.

The trees leaned as though trying to flee. ⸻ Day Seven. The final countdown. Ava stood by the ancient ruins, the wind wrapping around her like a cloak. Achi joined her, his body tense but steady. “We started this with fear,” she said, her voice clear, “but we’ll finish it with truth.” Behind them, Marcus and Darius watched in silence. Neither dared speak. The ground itself seemed to breathe with anticipation. The Blood Moon began to rise—larger than ever, swollen and pulsing with power. Its red light painted the world in warning.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw one of the shadows about to grab me and I unleashed a primal scream which disturbed the whole atmosphere. With the moon slowly returning to normal I walked to the center of the battlefield and watched as Lucien was still in a fight with the hooded being. He was covered in blood whilst the being stood unscratched. Kiran was trying his best to fight off these shadow monsters but they seemed to increase in numbers. Amidst the chaos I started hearing a song, it was faint and with a graceful texture. It was slowly drawing me closer to sleep. ‘Emily do not listen to it’ I heard my subconciousness saying.

And far above, the Moon shone brighter, silver light touching the valley with a quiet warning. The shadows of home had returned. And they were waiting.

Between Shadow and Moonlight The night of the Council would be remembered as the night the air itself trembled. For a heartbeat, the grand hall had been alive with hope — howls of unity rising like hymns under the full moon. Then the light had shifted. He turned, facing the gathering pack, and raised a hand. The drums stopped. The conversations died. Even the pups quieted, sensing the shift. A thousand eyes turned to us. “Shadow Moon,” Aaron’s voice carried over the silent clearing, powerful and clear. “The longest night is upon us. A time to remember the darkness, and to celebrate the unwavering promise of the light’s return.” A low, approving growl rippled through the crowd.
