Chapter 1 Thirst clawed at her throat while her stilettos clicked a steady thrum against the pavement. The hunger for blood had been building within her core for days, and Cybill needed to feed on flesh more than she needed air to breathe. Her warm hazel eyes were rimmed with crimson…it was time.

Lucas exploited that opportunity by driving his claws into Benjamin’s neck. Benjamin dropped to the floor, gagging and staring at his teammates as blood gushed down his eyes and neck. He gagged like a chicken until his soul left his body. His teammates began to shed tears and couldn’t take it anymore. They both charged recklessly at Lucas. They couldn’t have died worse. I shook my head in disgust while watching this slaughter. It was a blood bath. In this world, it’s really dog eat dog. No chance for second place because second place is the first loser. This was the same way Damon executed his enemies. Such a disgusting method. A man as bad as I almost is feeling disgusted.

He turned acutely at him but with his leg submitting a volley kick at the latter's face which sent him twirling backward while in the air. He turned at the remaining men, he watch as Alan ran out through the main entrance and as soon as he left, some men walked in, all growling and snarling with red flashy eyes. Bloodbath beamed exposing white fangs. Known genetically, he was a part of them and a part of the humans. That's what makes him outstanding. Bloodbath tucked his hands behind his belt and brought out two black guns "did you guys miss me?" He asked snickering.

Callum’s estate-the plan Lucas and Sophie made it out alive, victorious in the games. Hunter released them—though not without a stern warning. He’d cleared the place, leaving only her, him, and Hank, along with the rest of the vampire clan. Hunter was fighting to keep his composure; hurting her was the last thing he wanted. Three weeks in, he forced her to feed again, but this time, the bloodlust took over. He knew what she craved—his hands trailed her skin, his lips moved lower. He took his time, drawing her in, but when her gaze locked with him, all he saw was hate. She saw a monster, a killer. The desire was fleeting; the hatred lingered.

"You need to fight this, please." I nodded, my throat constricted with the weight of my inner turmoil. I could feel my control slipping, my thoughts consumed by the consuming thirst for blood. My eyes, once a piercing shade of gray, transformed into a deep, unsettling black. The hunger within me grew stronger with each passing second, my primal instincts threatening to overpower my every rational thought.

Everyone backed away in shock and pure rage, and I was hearing the faint scream of my mother calling out my name. But then, I was lost in a haze of hunger and confusion. I could feel the darkness swirling inside me, urging me to seek out the one thing that could satisfy my craving: blood. Instinctively and like a mad dog, I lashed out at one of my friends, who was also the daughter of a pack hunter like my parent. I was driven by an uncontrollable thirst as I tackled her to the ground, pinning her beneath me. Her screams echoed through the hall and into my ears, yet I couldn't stop as I sank my fangs into her neck, drawing out her lifeblood.

Mom rushed over with red‑rimmed eyes and slapped me across the face. “It must have been you who drove Sheila away.” Her voice trembled with anger. “A girl raised by human traffickers is exactly what I expected. We should never have let you come back.” I stared at her. Then, through the blood blurring my vision, I looked toward Derrick. At that moment, the system’s countdown echoed in my mind. The stabbing pain in my chest intensified without warning. It hurt so much that every word required all the strength I had left. “If this was how things were going to be…”

Energy flooded my veins, my muscles bulging with seemingly endless strength. My canines extended into fangs, my nails sharpened into claws, and my black hair bleached into a silvery white. I shifted into a white, agile she-wolf. However, vengeance consumed my entire reason. The last thing on my mind was to celebrate my first shift. This was for my unborn pup and my poor, sweet brother, Jake. I pounced on Anna and Jake. “I’m going to kill you.”

Still, he tortured me until I bled from eyes and ears. Noah stared at the stone pillar beside him, ready to bash his head against it. His rage turned toward Ava. "Throw her into the tiger pit!"

But promise taketh no attention. Hours pass. No one speaks to me. Someone does not tell me why I am still alive. Hunger chews me, and anger burns still higher. I walk around the room, repeating all the words Dino said, all the glances he cast my way. Instead of being a threat, he is dangerous because he makes decisions. It is what is most horrifying to me. I am rudely awakened by the voice of shouting. Then gunfire erupts. Initially, I believed it to be my imagination, but the cracking noises became nearer and clearer. Bells ring in the estate, very strong and desperate. I go down to the window, and I find men running over the grounds with weapons up. Smoke curls into the air.
