Aurora's eyes widen more with her aura surging around thickly. Elijah walks towards the tank when the blood is being delivered from the child's body. “ Start separating the plasma as soon as possible. I will hunt some wolves if needed. But I need the plasma.” He keeps saying while - Aurora's eyes are now bloody red. She is staring at those guards and scientists who are working hard on repairing everything. But with her nose bleeding, the clench tightens around her wrist. She looks at those scissors, hammer and other tools around them.

His eyes widen when he sees Selene in my arms, and before I can speak, he takes her from me like she’s the most precious thing he’s ever held. Aurora steps forward, and she looks awful. Her body is covered in runes and symbols, similar to those I saw on the witches’ notes before it burned. Part of her body is covered in bandages. I watch her as she murmurs a spell, looking Selene over. Selene’s slow heartbeat quickens. A little colour returns to her face. But the bite wounds remain. Aurora sighs. “We need to drain the blood.” She unsheathes a small dagger.

The mere possibility was enough to make Aaron growl viciously inside me, and before either of us could react, Aurora ran straight into my chest. Her arms wrapped tightly around me, clinging to my frame. Like I was the only thing keeping her standing. Her entire frame shook against mine. Her breathing came in uneven bursts, each breath sounding as though she might collapse at any moment. For several seconds, neither of us spoke. I simply stood there. Pulling away gently, I headed into the washroom and washed the blood from my hands. Cold water streamed down the sink, carrying away the evidence. But it couldn't wash away the rage.

The smell of copper is so thick I choke on it. Mist rises around my legs like white snakes, and below, the ice is stained red. A thick, bloody, crimson red that melts the ice. Fresh and hot–

Just as I was about to fall to the ground with a squeak, I lost my balance on the chair and was saved by muscular arms. As the door opened halfway and a girl fell out from behind it, Alex, on the other hand, was frightened. "What was she doing here now? I thought I saw her yesterday night shading tears and she ran off when she saw me," he said, realizing that the girl was Aurora. She appears to be feeling better today," I mused to myself. She was closing her eyes as though she was bracing herself for the blow when she hit the floor. I was drawn to her lips and her immaculate skin.

Suddenly, she looked down and saw a pool of blood on her legs. Her legs began to tremble: "Blood! Help me! Save my child! Aurora, please, I’m begging you…” Aurora immediately sensed something was wrong. The pain and panic on Carla’s face were not feigned. She hurriedly stood up to inspect her. She saw that Carla’s pants were soaked in bright red blood. Aurora had never seen this scene before, but the sight of the blood made her heart race. Carla’s expression was filled with agony: “Aurora, save my child, save him, please..."
