Iridian
It winked merrily in the moonlight, the same dark obsidian as her eyes.
It was then I noticed the inky liquid that soaked her dress, and the small splatters that marked her withered skin. My eyes trailed even further, my stomach rolling as I caught three distinct scratch marks running along the woman's arm, towards the back where I hadn't been able to see them. The inky substance was blood; her blood.
"When you're ready, when you're at your most desperate, crack this under your heel." The woman replied, holding the small marble in between her two gnarled fingers. "Ask your question, and you will receive an answer. Be warned, take care how you phrase your question."
