Before Jarred could press further, Stella returned, sliding a glowing blue drink with vapor curling off it toward me and a black, ice-heavy Devil’s Kiss to Jarred.
“Enjoy, boys,” she said, winking at Jarred. He winked back, his grin shameless, and I shook my head, taking a sip of the Blue Lust, its sharp lemon tang biting my tongue.
Jarred opened his mouth, clearly ready to dig into the Anna situation, but my gaze flicked to the TV above the bar. The news anchor’s voice cut through the Celine Dion blaring in the background, reporting missing persons in Greeley.
